    Yes that is so.
Moore subsequently said he never caught Rocky right, but Marciano stated he was buzzed, and blacked out for a couple of seconds, when he got up he started for the ropes expecting a standing 8 count which was waived for title fights.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions- I believe Marciano when he says he blacked out, coming forward with that much momentum after a right hand and being jarred with a flush rear hand from Moore would do that to anyone.

That’s the thing with modern work out methods. U can get heavier and more explosive and retain most of ur endurance, stamina etc. U r right in that we have no idea how that would affect him. We can only assume

Sure. But obviously I'm assuming that Marciano is landing his punches.

Personally I thought the Walcott kd looked more damaging ,but I'm happy to take Rocky's, word he was always pretty up front.

What part of Valdes being no 1 in 53 &54 do you not get ?
Charles lost to Valdes who got 2 title shots at Marciano? Charles!
Do you assume he would be able to land his punches against modern heavies with enough regularity to get them in trouble?
So you further assume his power would translate favourably against those heavies?
Do you also assume that he would not be taking appreciable damage to get near enough to land his shots?
NB Marciano was cut in all his major fights.
Moore lost to Charles 3 times .Valdes beat Charles.

What about the year and 9 months before Valdez-Moore when Valdez was number one contender?

These Marciano fanboys will give him every excuse in the book. It's absolutely absurd.

For the record, I think Marciano would've creamed Valdez.

At this point we may as well just have 1 dedicated Mega Marciano thread since they all end up becoming 30+ page heated discussions revisiting the same topics over and over.

    Think Michael Dokes quick.
Absolutely. He would be the greatest heavyweight since the 1950's Marciano.

Yep Only Ali and Louis would wish they had as many threads like Marciano has.

But let's see, whenever speaking or replying to a fantasy match between two fighters, others have to bring up David Tua, the Klitchko Bros, Oh and who can forget Lennox Lewis, even though the thread has nothing to do with him. I think sometimes we are a bit off track during fantasy matches or are we afraid that those mentioned fighters are going to be forgotten?

Nailed it. That's why I try to stay out of these threads, unless I see his fanboys excuse Valdez not getting the title shot because he lost to Moore..... despite being the number 1 contender for nearly two years prior, or those trying to tear down Liston and Foreman, in favor of Marciano.
