Zhang has to be favourite. Even if Joyce does better and is able to pressure Zhang from the opening bell and win rounds on sheer volume and maul Zhang up close like he was starting to do before the fight was stopped, it's hard to picture a fight where Joyce doesn't eat a lot of shots and his eye shutting again and him getting stopped on another injury.
Joyce need to ride out the first half of the fight. Then he will win. But he was so slow and open to Zhang and his southpaw style. What will he do to change this? It will be interesting to see.
That's assuming the eye is permanently damaged and liable to swell again from repeated shots. If that's the case then Joyce's chances go way down, as he will ship punishment again here. My pick is based on the fact that he'll try to minimise the shots landed as much as possible by starting quicker and getting Zhang on the backfoot and expending more energy to keep him off than will be sustainable. Joyce needs to make some key changes here, and if he doesn't then eye injury or not, the same result is likely to repeat itself.
All Zhang has to do to ensure his victory is get on a spinning machine for 30 minutes every morning in addition to whatever else he usually does. Joyce's only chance is if Zhang gasses before Joe's face falls apart.
War Joyce!. Only remember that Zhang's a southpaw this time round, matey. It is within the rules to protect your face. I do like Zhang bigtime but the 18 wheel Juggernaught will definitely right the wrong here that really needent have happened imo. Very much looking forward to this re-match.
Because they're ready to eventually do the usual *hit refereeing and judging in favour of the home fighter. So Zhang must destroy Joyce's eye again or KO him.
I hope Zhang works on his stamina and pacing. Foreman had also more endurance after his comeback, around the same age as Zhang is now, I think 1 or 2 years younger than Zhang. If Zhang is motivated and in really good form, he will win this easily. If not, he is still the favourite for the first half of the fight.
Real question is, who would Joyce spar to prepare for Zhang ? I still can't see any other HW southpaw that big, with that kind of power.
