Sunny Edwards vs. Andres Ignacio Campos Gonzalez & Cherneka Johnson vs. Ellie Scotney RBR.

Edwards seemed very unfocused and did not box a convincing fight. He was more busy looking away from his opponent and spinning around. He should have used this evening to send a signal to his competitors. They're not losing much sleep....

 

I seriously hope that Matchroom remains patient in the build-up of Johnny Fisher.

 

Barry Jones did a great job. Costello was once again embarrassing and downright stupid to listen to.

 

Can we not replace Mike Costello with AI?!? I'm sure it's meant to be advanced enough now...

 

On a more serious note, big Johnny Fisher did end up sharing some Chinese chicken balls with his opponent after the fight.

 

The year is 2030, Fisher 27-0 is being prepared for the biggest fight of his life! Eddie briefs the media on this monumental task "its been tough, he's the most avoided fighter in this division,but its finally happening - a shot at the Southern area title Koogs"

As soon as people switch off to the sound of a Chinese takeaway menu being read out is when the cash out happens

 

Edwards has no power and isn't the most exciting to watch. He's trying to showboat but needs to show more skills in the ring first. 4 KOs in 20 wins isn't going to sell fights or be a huge main events.

 

He is a little rat but has already beaten Morhti and Alvarado so he is elite even if I can't warm to him

 

Miissed this card tonight as out in a bar watching the Champions League Final and just ended a good session in preparation for the Taylor v Lopez fight.

Sounds like Sunny struggled in a close fight not refelected in the cards.

 

Edwards showed some good moves but it's like he was more busy trying to live up to his nickname "showtime".

 

The entire main event was flat - the crowd wasn't into it and no doubt the Fisher fans had got what they wanted so settled back with a pint. The showboating didn't impress anyone and the only thing that got a buzz going was the odd loud punch which had probably hit gloves anyway.

Edwards and DAZN won't draw flies with that kind of event, there's no great reason to see it again.

 

Still the most talented British boxer by a long shot.

 

Just watched 6 rounds of it. Borefest. Sunny gets ironed out as soon as he fights an elite fighter in their prime.

 

I'd be happy if he did go the Area route though, it's better than Adeleye wanging his WBO European like it means something.

 

I fell asleep after round 5 of Sunny, not cos I was bored but cos I need my CPAP machine fixing so am drowsy by 10pm ish. I've only watched the highlights, said he won convincingly but took a few rounds off. That about right?
