It's also noticeable that the people who have ridiculously close cards, 114-114, 115-113, pronounce Tuesday with a C.

Taylor needs to stay away from 147. There are some good fights for him at 140 still. Catteral, Prograis rematches which are unlikely to happen. Haney might take it to test the waters.

As for Teo, would like to see him and Prograis, Matias. He's at least going to go for other champions.

I scored it 116-112 and i felt i might of been a round too generous to Taylor

115-113 twice? Seems like Teofimo Lopez narrowly avoided a robbery.

That’s not true though, is it? You really should have thought that through before clicking ‘post reply’.

The commentary was awful. Yes Teo was a clear and deserved winner but Ward is just insufferable. He kept saying Taylor was hurt when he wasn't and yet again his was becoming all excited and animated when the home fighter landed but rarely if ever did the same when Taylor landed.

I'd honestly just retire if I was Taylor. He's been through a couple of wars and his skills seem to have eroded. The Cattrell performance wasn't a fluke.

Congrats to all of the Lopez backers, he beat a shot fighter coming off of a year and a half layoff, who should've moved up to 147 2 years ago. Your favorite fighter is a piece of ****, and you're a piece of **** for liking him.

Solid analysis, and maybe there is that element of 'styles make fights' but the Taylor that fought Prograis showed much higher ring IQ, and made multiple adjustments through the course of the fight - and one of those was IIRC around 3/4 where Prograis was starting to have the kind of success Lopez was having tonight. Taylor at that point closed the distance and made Regis fight his fight - tonight there was no adjustment, and the physical strength and pop in the punches was not there that I could see. His footwork and balance also seems markedly worse than back then - maybe that's the trainer or the knee injury but it's plain to see.

Maybe some of that was McGuigan and his relationship with Taylor as well possibly.

Teo landed 140 punches on 40% to Josh 60 on 29%. you can score all the soft swing rounds for Taylor by default but your boy got his head knocked in every direction possible. Teo was landing every shot in the book and this wasn't even close enough to be a sparring session. Straight domination. Taylor winning a round because Teo took off or was reading isnt impressive because Taylor did no significant damage beyond fouls but in the exchange Teo dominated and had his way from round 3. Josh didn't win any rounds decisively. If it makes you feel better he edge softly a swing round despite getting pumbled for the entire fight then okay. Moral victories. lmao.
