Lopez closed the show more impressively because of his power but I scored both fights the same, Taylor losing 9-3. Catterall is the guy that should be undisputed now, but he was robbed.

Having said that Catterall doesn't beat this version of Lopez, but he could possibly beat the version that fought Kambosos. That's the thing about Lopez we never know which version will show up, he might very well over look someone like Catterall and get beat.

I was shocked at the lack of fight and dog in Taylor he had his will broken. I thought he would go down swinging but he didn't it was shocking to see.

Especially after all the hooplah he was doing during fight week, I expected him to be way better than that honestly.

I doubt he overlooks catterall especially after Catterall should have been given the nod.

Lopez should have lost against Sandor Martin and midget one arm Loma. Lopez is mediocre

Says the guy who picks everyone under the sun to KO AJ, picking Taylor wasn't some long shot, so shut the **** up.

Hopefully not, but after such a big win, his ego, you never know. Until he can prove he can be more consistent, we never know which one shows up.

Exactly the same thinking here. The wilting he did was quite explicit.

    Two things:

1.) Teofimo is among the most frustrating "hot and cold" fighters ever. He looks ****-poor against opposition that he should beat quickly and instead either gets taken close, robs them, or gets outright defeated by them (Nakatani, Kambosos, Sandor Martin). He looks so ordinary and even awful that you discount him to not take him seriously. Then he has nights like tonight where he looks like a p4p top 10 fighter and just wows you with his potential. When you couple that with his being a racist douchebag controlled by his enabled and enabling douchier father, he's just so inherently unlikeable that I look forward to him eating a slice of humble pie...which he won't be served until he comes across the next banana-peel fighter.

2.) Taylor better hope this was a layoff and weight cut issue, and that moving to 147 is the right move for him. Because otherwise, Taylor is a shot fighter. And it's not that Lopez was beating him - that was all Lopez - it was that when Lopez was beating him...he had no answer. No adjustment. No second wind to try and take the fight back. He had nothing. That is a giant red flag for fighters at the elite level. He either moves to 147 and we see a return of the Tornado or he is done.

Did you really think Taylor had power?

Lopez was too powerful, Bud would knock Taylor over the top rope, he has no power and is easy to hit.

    Agree on the first point.

The 2nd point, I think he made the weight fine, looked good at the weigh in. I don't think he's shot, but he's now just been exposed as a fighter. He's always been a big 140lber who beat up smaller men on the inside over a weak 140 division. You keep him on the outside like we saw Catterall and now Lopez do and you see just how beatable he is. I'm sure he could still beat guys like Pograis again, because they'll fight him where he's strong, up close, but anyone that keep him at range will give him fits.

If Taylor does move up to 147, he'll better go right for the big money fights, because I don't see him having much success there, it's a deeper division with two genuine elite fighters that would batter him and KO him. So better to cash out when he can before someone else beats him at 147.

I think Teo looked more like a P4P #1 type talent tonight and not just a Top 10. Shades of RJJ type stuff. Dude truly has special athleticism that few possess.
