If you cannot find an extra 2 rounds, 1 more would be a draw (in most cases), then it's still a robbery.

That's the point one round and you'd have a draw

I respect BLH a lot and even they had JM up 114-113.

But he lost when he should've won. So it's a robbery. End of discussion.

I absolutely loved this fight. Hat's off to both men.

Boxing can be cruel. IMO this is a situation where the better man didn't the decision but perhaps not unjustly. That's how boxing is scored. JM turned a clear deficit into a 3 point turnaround in the last 2 rounds but he took a bad whooping/schooling for majority of the fight before that.

What brings an emotional element into it is the story of Sergiy's career up until now. How hard he has done it, how close he has come and how he is clearly towards the end of nearly 30 years of competing in this sport.

Thats what might turn a close, debatable decision in some people's eyes to a robbery in others.

My only solution is perhaps boxing is scored in a Street Fighter health bar kind of scenario after the fight is completed.

I noticed that the fights where he got dropped are the fights where you can make a case of Derevyanchenko winning it(Jacobs, GGG, and Munguia). The knockdowns he suffered in those fights costed him a victory against them.

How is it that some fighters never, not even once win a razor close fight?
SD arguably beat Jacobs, Golovkin, Jermall, Adames, and now Munguia. Not once did the decision go to him.

This has to be one of modern boxing´s biggest travesties. A truly unlucky boxer if there ever was one.
He could have an HOF resume, but instead is likely to retire 14-5.

Thank god he at least made a lot of money from these fights.

There should have also been two KDs in favor of Munguia in the 12th. Should have been a 10-7 round.

So now tackles should count as knockdowns?

So Munguia got a gift vs Hogan and now SD? The guy can’t be protected forever.
