Issue is his physical fighting style won’t bode well at 147. Won’t be losing on points either, would get sparked

Taylor’s attritional rough n ready style doesn’t fit well for longevity going up in weight and mixing with the best might be too much now.

Lopez is weaker mentally than Taylor but he has much more natural talent and athleticism.

Not at all. He simply not talented enough to be elite.

Lopez is the opposite, elite talent but **** for brains.

Talent =/= RL Intelligence. Taylor is well adjusted and fairly intelligent for a boxer.

Did you expect all boxers to be like Big Femi with PR lines? In a sport full of woman beaters and felons, Taylor is without a doubt very clean.

Lopez is immature and a bit combustible but they are character flaws not mental weakness.

Taylor changed trainers for no reason when he was at the very top and they've trained the top fighter right out of him, hard to see where he goes now.

Does nothing at a great level anymore other than being willing to dig in

Taylor had reached his top level of achievement already but his boxing abilities don't attain his trash talking desires. Good, Brit level boxer but no more. He'd better not go up to 147 because there are numerous beat downs waiting for him up there. Buy some sheep, find an ugly wife and settle down on some windswept rainy isle off Scotland's coast.

He's had a strong run of opponents even from the start. Definitely not taken the easy road in this sport. Could just be worn down.

On the face of it on the downslope. He did better at the weekend than he did vs Catterall (not hard to do) but he's still short of the game needed to be the guy again.

I think he should seriously consider retiring. He just doesn't have it anymore for whatever reason. Maybe even in his prime teofimo still beats him but he looked horrible the other night.
