I had it 114-113 Munguia. The knockdown made the difference.
Poor Derevyanchenko. He has a really unlucky carreer. Much better than many "world champions".

Sergiy is so unlucky, if he was 3 or 4 years younger he wins by KO. He’s come up short everytime on the judges scorecards and taken so much damage for nothing

I saw this fight different to most. I thought Derevyanchenko won easily. 8-3. 9-4 minus knockdown. I thought Haney-Loma was closer. Poor Sergiy, epic effort.

I didn't think Derev could come up with that kind of effort at his age, I thought he showed that it was obvious Mungia hadn't been in the ring with that level of competition . I had it a close fight with a case either way , but when you lose the last 2 rounds in a give and take fight by 3 points I was not surprised by the outcome. Munguia's future? With that porous defense I wouldn't be surprised if the old man Golovkin wouldn't want to cash one more paycheck.

I have to give Munguia credit. He is tougher than I thought. He kept coming despite being hurt several times. Munguia is a tough one to figure out. Sometimes he strikes me as dumb as a box of rocks and then at other times very calm, measured and instinctively bright. Even though he was a bit exposed in this fight, I think his stock went up. I think most of us knew he has some serious defensive deficiencies and technical problems but he keeps coming. The kid can take a punch.

I think Dereyvanchencko took it in a close fight. He had racked up enough points early to overcome the 10-8 in the 12th. I hate the way so many of these Mexican boxers are propped up and the grandstanding by Oscar and friends in the background. Pathetic.

Hats off to chenko I didn't think the old guy had a chance and hoped he just wouldn't take a bad beating but the technician had other ideas. From the first round the usually slow starting chenko took the fight to munguia and let him know that he was in for a tough and long night and in that one round had munguia out on his feet. He has nothing to be ashamed of he ran out of gas late which can be expected at 38 if he would've managed to escape without being knocked down he would've had the fight in the bag. It's a shame chenko couldn't have made 154 because by fighting at 160 he's always at a huge size disadvantage at154 he really would've been something special no one there would've touched him. At the end of the day he can be proud that he gave everyone he fought at 160 hell gave us all one last great performance in a foty type of fight and if he decides to retire thanks for the memories champ.

Well you said it all there, i just watched it now, both guys did great, plus if Derv just didn't end up losing & in the process of being dropped in the last two rounds he could have got an official draw/win in the fans eye's, no shame both guys brought it all tonight.

Good fight & i really didn't expect Sergiy to bring on that kind of heat, always feel bad for the guy along with all the unnecessary hard punches he takes only to lose in the end, respect to him as a fighter with his all work no BS etiquette.

Yeah just another quiet going foreign fighter who's team is the same, you don't even hear from the guy until the night of when he's about to fight, no noise makers get this kind of treatment on a regular.

Yeah but Munguia did win those last rounds & dropped Derv which made it look that much bad,

Either way all fighters can take a lesson from this going forward which is to finish strongly & with as much activity as possible in those closing rounds,

Another thing which is very evident this year along confirms that those judges don't see what we're seeing from their low level seats.

Bad shots indeed for both actually, especially for Jaime due to his promise.

True but people will remember the end more than the middle anyday, just the way it is.

Yeah being the older fighter you'd think he'd been delighted at having that option.

Just got around to watching this. I had Derevyenchenko edging it 114-113.

The judges’ scorecards were disappointing but the fight wasn’t and neither was the RBR. Never change, ESB

Special mention for the ring lasses who were top notch

2 of the judges had it 1 rounds differently than you. That’s not disappointing.
