Ricky seems to suffer from the same holes in his game as Nathan. Very skillful, well drilled and fast of hand but just not enough natural power.
gorman would stand chance of beating ruiz thats for sure hes a much bigger man slicker if he can avoid the punches he could knock him out look what he done to wardleys face he would defo beat the ruiz in saudi that fat blob

Cheers Jim, I appreciate that. For me, I honestly think that Ruiz second main strength, after his quick hands, is his power. My personal prediction would be that he would catch Gorman relatively early and finish him in max 5 rounds. I completely agree that his conditioning is disgusting and he really let himself down after he beat Joshua. One possible reasoning for this is that his terms for that rematch were agreed during the first fight so he received much less than AJ for number 2 and didn’t see any of the benefits of boxing in Saudi money wise. Possibly he saw what AJ was earning and thought **** this I can’t be bothered. He earn’t a fraction of what he should have for that fight. He couldn’t have been happy about it. Just a possible theory from my squirrel sized brain.
He managed to buy enough jewellery and Bentleys with it. I believe the rematch terms were agreed before the first fight, that’s the problem with fighting the likes of AJ and Fury, if you win you still get screwed with the rematch. Even the likes of Joyce had a rematch clause with both Zhang and Parker, Whyte with Povetkin etc.
What the Saudis are willing to pay AJ is irrelevant to Ruiz though. For whatever reason it AJ the Saudis want to see and are obviously willing to pay the big money. Ruiz signed for the fight with the terms agreed, he can’t then sulk about it.
As bad as Ruiz has looked he's never come in the ring looking as bad as Gorman post Dubois, he's been a sorry mess and at his age it's sad to see.
Any human being, could be the most level headed person on the planet, is unlikely to be content when as a champion you are earning 10% of your challengers purse. Especially when you have already convincingly beaten that same boxer, just 6 months earlier. However, you could be the exception. Personally I wouldn’t be happy about it.
Agreed, of course you back that frustration up by doing it again though, not coming in looking like you've developed an eating disorder and Mr Stay Puft's body double. When someone gets so fat that it makes their eyes look like they're from another continent somebody needs to step in and have a word, let alone a World Champion boxer.
