This is a good fight & intriguing while also appealing to a diverse crowd,

Didn't know they were negotiating this, better late than never as now Canelo has also slowed down & aged some more.

Jack and Charlo are sort of exact opposites, in terms of risk for reward.

Yeah, I'm in a place, where most of the big fights don't hold a hell of a lot of interest for me in terms of outcome, at best I look forward to how well the underdog will overperform, and fully expect them to not get an ounce of credit for it. Like with Canelo-Ryder or Munguia-Derevyanchenko. The matches where I do get mildly excited, the prospect of a robbery always looms large, like with Loma vs. Haney, so that always dampens my enthusiasm as well. At this point, it's mostly the undercard matches, because I'm so well versed in lesser known fighters, I occasionally get a little pumped for. Like I knew Resendez was going to be an absolute nightmare for Jarrett Hurd or like knowing Roiman Villa was going to be a handful for Rashidi Ellis gets me a little pumped, but only mildly. We're both experiencing pugilistic ennui.

Exactly my thoughts I thought the same when he fought Bivol. Fair enough the moneys there from the Saudis and from the Bivol fight it was there from the DAZN investors, who were making a loss, but what's left at the end of it for Canelo if he gets beat off Jack which I think he will based off their respective most recent performances? Could be him finished in terms of marketability.

The only thing going for Charlo is that 168 is a better weight for him so he might have some more energy. He just doesn't throw enough punches these days to stand much of a chance if recent performances are any guide.

I think the Ryder who showed up against Canelo beats him too.

It's crazy to think about how that seemed to be a real thing at one point, that Canelo was ducking Charlo.

I forgot about that one. What a sad display that was.

It's weird to think of Jack as a high risk, high reward fight but there is nothing Canelo loves more than a belt in a new weight class (besides golf).

If he beats Jack expect a 201lbs catchweight fight for the HW title when the belts split up again. I could see it being against Briedis.

I think Canelo should take this handily and probably sits Charlo on his ass along the way. The two year layoff is a lot of rust to shake off going straight into a big fight like this.

I like this fight but how did Canelo decide on this fight out of no where. There's more money out there with Benavidez or Bivol, and Charlo has been inactive. First I hear them wanting a cruiser weight shot now this. I don't believe it but if it gets made, it's a good scrap.

From what I understand both Charlo and Jack are still in play.

Canelo's camp has expressed interest in Charlo multiple times, said his name outright as someone they wanted.

I'm gonna be the odd man out here, Charlo by UD12. I've told everyone for years that they underrate both Charlos. My prophecy will be fulfilled :ibutt

It's not his fault Bivol don't want it. He's gotta fight somebody. Mall's been waiting for this moment his whole life. Give him his shot. It's arguably the biggest fight out there, even bigger than Benavidez.

Jermall got schooled by Korobov and should have also lost and Deryvanchenko. He's a grade A weight bully.

It's typical that Canelo is fighting a guy who is two years inactive, is it not? two years is a long period of time to go not being in the ring
