Didn't Canelo already do that at 175 w/ Kov?

I wonder if Canelo took this fight that when he moves back down after it will have bad effect on him like RJJ after the Ruiz fight.

If he were to somehow go from getting Derek Edwards'ed in a minute flat to having not only the career he's put together since but then cap it off with a victory over his era's biggest global star in the sport all in the span of a decade, they would have to make a movie about Badou Jack. :deal:

But this would be at Cruiser. Regardless of how anyone feels about Jack or Canelo taking this fight, it's for a legit belt and 2 divs. up.

I don't see other fighters doing this.

Canelo moving up 2 divisions to cherry pick, don't you wish all fighters were as cherrypicky as Canelo?

History will repeat itself cherry picking Bivol and then got busted. It is a case of ducking benavides on his own weight.

If he is fighting Badou Jack on his own weight not with any catch weight

If there was no catch weight and no rehydration clause I wouldn’t even mind this fight.

Others don't do this much because it's Canelo and his promise of a large payday to his opponent. He went to 175 just to fight a worn out Kov. Moved back down. What was the point of that? Just to say he was a 175 champ? He had no intention of defending that belt or facing a non-shot LtHW.

You think canelo will allow his opponents to weigh in at 200?? That will never happen. This has catchweight written all over it.

And IF he won a CW belt, think he's going to stay at CW? Hell no....

And Jack is near 40 w/o any significant wins in 5 years

BJ ain’t a walk in the park for anybody, this is a tougher fight than some are giving credit for.
