The obvious answer is 1974 George Foreman vs 1965 Ali.
With his legendary ability to cut the ring, George would beat the brakes off the perfect version of Ali that had no inside fight game.

Hmm. I think this is a Mathematical question. Looking at boxrec which I don’t often do unless I’m trying to refresh my excellent, but not infallible memory, I see George has won 76/81 fights.
Soooooooo I’ll say George has a 76 in 81 chance of beating this fella Not George. That’s a near 94% win record. Therefore there is only a 6% chance that Not George Foreman will be victorious.

Now I may be a gambler but even I wouldn’t risk those odds on Not George Foreman winning, so I’ll confidently tip George to win (much much) more often than not.

I just have to hope that Not George doesn’t turn up with Muhammad Ali type gameplan!

It depends on who George's opponent is and what version of both of them they are fighting, doesn't it?!?

I don't quite understand all the philosophy presented on this thread any more than I understand the basic question posed.

Sorry Pug. Gotta ask who that is in your avatar with Ali/Clay? Is it Liston in 64?

Update: In a very unForemanlike second wind, George has surged ahead of Not-George in the polls! Do I sense an upset in the making?

Could we have a clarification on the in ring humidity and temperature? Will George fly on an airplane in the 48 hours preceding the flight? Will he be chained up on fight week by his trainer who laughs maniacally while feeding him salt tablets and denying him even a single sip of water?

Not-George is shipping in Jimmy Young's nuclear-powered sunlamp specifically for this fight.

George Foreman vs Someone Other Than George Foreman

Foreman beats anyone other than himself, except for
    1) Ali in Zaire (but only if George's water's doped and the ring ropes are loose)
    2) Batman (if he has time to prepare)
    3) Pam Grier (if Foreman's corner doesn't check her hair for razor blades and compact pistols, which she then employs while George/referee /judges are distracted by her, um, 'legal targets').

Non-shot Cleveland Williams challenges for the title after this and gets his due as the greatest Texan human being ever.

I like how Jimmy Young lost to a ten fight novice after the Foreman fight back to back- it makes it so much better.

Not necessarily. Fury managed to land a flush uppercut to his own face. With enough determination and practice, you can literally whoop your own ass.

It's one of those lost arts that modern boxers lack, like body punching and having feet.
