Totally useless novelty matchup. I really hope this doesn't happen. Canelo wasting his twilight years.

He needs to fight Benavidez. It is obvious at this point that those two guys are far & away the top two at 168. Canelo has spent his career challenging himself and I respect him for that, so hopefully he'll keep it going. Fighting Jack would be a waste of time.

 

Other fighters aren’t scared of the young challengers in their division. Canelo is.

 

Bingo my brother, Jack will be 40 in October and his power doesn't present any big problem and his last good effort was a draw with Stevenson 5 years ago at 175. Canelo wouldn't take this fight if he thought there was danger in it, like say a Benevidez fight.

 

Canelo went to 175 to fight Kovalev(who was around #3 at the time) then went back to fight the number 1 guy there in Bivol(a non-shot LtHW). Are you not paying attention?

Canelo is not doing anything other greats(SRR and PAC come to mind) didn't do, where you as critical of them?

I doubt Canelo hurts Jack. Jack is a pretty decent boxer. Who knows how far Jack has fallen, Canelo as well. Do people not realize how long Canelo has been boxing for? Canelo isn't exactly a young gun anymore, same as Jack. If it happens and you don't like it, just don't watch?

 

He loves Manny, dont bother trust me.

BUT - People were picking Kov to beat Canelo and Kov looked good until he got caught. It happens. IMO Kovalev doesn't have great survival skills, possibly because he hasn't been in precarious positions like that before. Let Canelo do what he wants. He's taken his asskickings and fought guys he didn't have to, getting other lesser known fighters paid in the process.

Not much to hate, IMO.

 

Is this 50 million dollar deal real?

 

I'm not a fan of title hopping cash cows who have no interest in defending a title. You know this will NOT be at the CW if made, right?

When did you start caring about multiple titles? Youre not a commissioner making money off of them are you? BJ could just say no, you know that, right?

 

Yeah we've been hearing that for a while now but I bet you'd have a hard time naming one fighter that has challenged himself as much as Canelo has in the recent past.
