News: The IBF purse bid for the fight between titleholder Jai Opetaia and mandatory Mateusz Masternak scheduled for this Thursday has been canceled as Masternak has advised the IBF he is going in another direction.
Wonder what that means for his mandatory? Or maybe he can have a voluntary against Aussie Floyd Masson.
yeah, no idea I think Floyd was looking at defending his title on Sept 9 in Brisbane According to the latest IBF rankings, they have Floyd at No.7
I see that Sam "George Costanza" Goodman is a slight underdog against Aleem. Aleem has no power so Goodman just probably needs to last the distance and not get dominated to get a decision in QLD I might get on that at $2.25 hopefully Goodman does the business and doesn't have me shouting "Serenity Now!" at my TV screen.
A mate texted me a poster last night 48 year old Gairy St Clair is gonna be fighting 31 year old Michael Hall at a club in Riverwood next month LOL
Opetaia will be facing Richard Riakporhe next. They have until July 14 to negotiate. What an absolute **** around from Masternak and his team. They’re going the soft touch route with Billam-Smith.
https://www.sportingnews.com/au/box...he-mateusz-masternak/gyvhrisds2dwb1eeylov9xkx Agree, that Masternak has definitely gone the easier option and dont think he would have pulled out of negotiations if Okolie had beaten Billam-Smith. Besides, I thought Okolie has a rematch clause and was planning to activate it.
Correct. He was this morning, but the IBF have since come out and said that Richard Riakporhe is now the mandatory challenger.
Possibly though I’ve heard Heavyweight is a possibility for him too. Maybe Masternak’s team have gotten a good deal from Boxxer to step aside and they’re going to take their chances that CBS beats Okolie again or Okolie moves up. One thing is clear, they sh1t themselves about having to fight Jai.
Yeah he said he would for sure. He previously mentioned CBS as a potential opponent, even before Chris flash fried the calamari.
May as well just post the belt over there if that's the way it's going to be. Opetaia & Huni appear to be on a road to nowhere. Fighting in other people's backyards is for losers.
