Well, they can fight here, but unless its on a No Limit card, it wont be shown as a ppv on Fox/Main Event. Which is why George K is now fighting with Top Rank over in the US. He was looking at fighting Maxi Hughes in Sydney but due to the No Limit/Fox agreement, it wouldnt be shown here in Australia as a ppv event and he would receive less revenue.
Jai is a bit work to do before he can become a bankable ppv star. He has to start by getting back in the ring. This increasingly ridiculous No Limit/Fox deal is not helping anyone. They have been churning out cards with Charloesque regularity. Which is a shame because the backslapping public don't appreciate how big and incredibly brave that win against Breidis was.
I saw the pic of the open wound of the dog bite Tszyu got. It is actually quite nasty and could easily effect his performance.
I’m really excited to see Dana’s progression so far as a pro. When he turned pro not too many wanted to know about him. But we believed in his talent and have taken him anything but the soft route. That continues with 10-0 (10 KO) Boyd. I think Dana needs to be wary early but the longer it goes the better for us. One thing is for sure, you don’t see too many Aussie kids have a combined opponents record of 78-18 and four opponents are undefeated within their first 12 or so fights. He’s one for genuine Aussie boxing fans to get behind because he’s one of the few that is testing himself early and often.
Genuine talent. Fell in love with watching him box from the first time I saw him fight. And a great kid to boot. Had a few little chats on Insta. Keep up the great work Ippy.
Mate he’s honestly the nicest kid you’ll ever meet. Not a bad bone in his body except when he’s in between the ropes. As you alluded to, easy on the eye when he’s boxing, really great boxer/puncher style.
This my post after first watching a full fight of his nearly 2 years ago. Hard not to like the kid, his style is great to watch and the way he carries himself. A lot of youngins would have packed it in after copping a few early losses but he persevered and has really grown as a fighter. He has taken some risks that didn't exactly go to plan but acquitted himself very well. Now he is at 126 and getting a roll I think we are seeing a real emerging talent but Boyd ain't no joke so this is another tough fight for him.
He’s no joke alright. Wings them from everywhere and has absolute dynamite in his fists at that weight. Dana can’t get sloppy.
Ocampo looking like pretty slick in his white jacket at the press conference on Friday. Like a grown up Tattoo from Fantasy Island.
