Current middleweight is a wasteland so not sure if that's a compliment. Regardless, I would still pick current GGG over ODLH.

Hopkins was losing before Oskee took the obvious dive. GGG never fought anyone the level of Bhop.

Hopkins didn't look great in that fight. Compare his fight with Oscar with his fight against Joppy. Hopkins had much faster feet, much more movements, more output, and threw combinations from range. The Hopkins from the Joppy fight would have flattened ODLH much sooner.

Joppy just wasn't that good. Delahoya is just a better boxer than Joppy is who could really jab and move and could make Hopkins work.

Delahoya would've messed up Duran too.

Yeah de la Hoya really is an all time great that routinely gets ignored bc ppl don't like him. For similar reasons that they don't like sugar ray Leonard PLUS the crossdressing incident and then his career as a promoter.

He didn't seem to have any stylistic kryptonite. He was competitive against everyone he fought.

Plus, that iron chin. Everyone wanted to see him get KO'd. His chin was amazing.

I don't care for ODLH outside the ring, but inside it he was a warrior who fought everyone and gave us plenty of memorable fights and deserves alot of respect IMO.

It's a pity he foolishly gave away last few rounds vs Tito that should've been his standout win. He was clearly the better boxer but oh well that's life.

Oscar was the real deal and then some. Despite the loses, he fought em all and had a tremendous career. Had the pleasure of meeting him and getting a signature. Very nice man

Yeah i never watched that fight from the 70s but Duran who beat Leonard or Barkley would have beat the DLH who should have lost to Sturm.

Did you watch the legendary nights Oskee vs Tito?
Judges gave Tito the first 3 rounds to him, and then they actually have Oscar the last 2 rounds, when he barely threw a punch.
