Winky could absolutely have beaten Floyd.

And Wright fought noone near Mayweather's level. And when he did, he got spanked.

Winky could give Floyd a lot of issues with his size, high guard, and general attitude of the spoiler. I always fancy a spoiler/good counterfighter vs a counterpuncher rather than someone who would try to blitz Floyd out of there. To be fair Floyd never really fought someone with the size and defensive skill of a Wright. But then again, Floyd was at his absolute peak at 130-135-140 to me, Wright at 154.

Wright has nothing to bother Mayweather, IMO. He certainly can't hurt him.

    Don’t be silly.

    Of course he did.

And Floyd obviously thought the same too, otherwise he’d have taken the fight instead of pulling the plug at the last moment.

He didn’t need to fight Wright. He had million dollar offers against bigger name fighters.

I don't remember Floyd ever mentioning Winky. You sure about this?

Well regardless of our opinions, it’s a good job Ronald didn’t fight Andre Ward otherwise he would have got punched in the Winky

He called out Winky. Even said he'd KO Winky. They negotiated the fight then Floyd said sike and bounced.

Yeah because Wright turned down the contract.

Floyd was the one offering. WW just wouldn't order.

    Yeah.

    In 2005.

Floyd said he was going to move up and give him a boxing lesson.

He said that he was going to stop him.

Everything was just being finalised before he pulled the plug.

Floyd tried to change the terms at the last minute after everything he’d originally asked for had been granted.

Basically, he ran his mouth off and then regretted it.

Theres always last minute stuff when youre working with millions of dollars in contracts. Fair play to Wright, if he didnt want to fight, then don't.
