Let’s see if Timofei’s dingo doggy bite will harm him in this fight then. Doesn’t seem like a step up from the Harrison fight tbh, expecting a performance that makes the Charlo fight even more interesting

 

I agree. It was close. I was expecting the American judge to score it to the American. When they said it was a split decision & then read the Japanese judge's score out, I thought Sam was in trouble.

 

As a Kiwi, I can confirm.

 

I think that all the cards were too lopsided.

 

I didn’t think Goodman would have the minerals here but he at the very least was on equal terms with Aleem.

No frills stuff from him but he pushed Aleem back like he stole his goon bag and winnie blues.

Aleem wilted terribly the second half of the fight. Looked like a different fighter from the 7th on.

Pretty much.

 

Goodman had good boxing fundamentals and he stayed true to that. Aleem got sloppy and it cost him the fight.
