There are titles at 168 that have to be defended. That’s the problem. He doesn’t want to defend against anyone at 168. You want to move up and win at a higher weight class? Cool. Drop the belts then.
Clenela is the biggest fraud in boxing, confirmed once again!!! And theee is his usual ******** trying to defend him. Absolutely pathetic. Trying to fight for a CW title 20lbs below the limit with a rehydration clause on top of it. This is one of this thread where it's clear which people you should just ignore and not waste any minute of your time, as simple it's useless to have a discussion with fangirls like that, defending everything blindly. Waste of time, waste of space.... And for how long this fraud going to duck Benavidez??? And this garbage cheater was talking facing and beating Usyk at HW..... Muhahahha he is an all time fraud!!! And of course Jack is right, Clenela has a long history with everything Jack says.
He beat Ryder last month who was top in most of those organizations and mandatory for his WBO, why would Canelo drop his belts, I'm not sure what you mean. The Benavidez fight is cool and should happen next, but Canelo wanted that rare 5th division title I really don't understand what's the problem.
He just defended them against GGG and John Ryder. Canelo has been active enough to defend his titles and challenge titles at higher weights. He's not like some fighters who only fight once a year or even less than that.
LOL. It's the truth. A man is never wrong for speaking the truth. Jack speaking on the conditions is no more disrespectful than Canelo offering them in the first place.
God you are a pathetic groupie. This is whats wrong with boxing today. Canelo has been exposed as the worst ducker in modern history. I can't recall a more blatant duck, when you can't even fight anyone else in your division to fight lol
Allegedly, and even at 180, he'd still be giving away a ton of weight on fight night. He'd still be at a considerable weight disadvantage. Cruiserweight has a weight limit that is 25 lbs above the class below it, 10 lbs above its original limit, and 32 lbs above the SMW limit. That's a massive amount of weight between weight classes. If there is ever a division where a catchweight makes sense, it's cruiserweight. But to be clear, I'm not trying to defend a catchweight here, and definitely not anything below 190 lbs. 190 lbs is the only weight that I would say is reasonable. I do not think it's reasonable to defend the CW title below its original limit. Cruiserweight is not like other weight classes where there's only single digit weights between classes, to where a catchweight is just petty. Cruiserweight is different, and to pretend it isn't is pathetic. You're looking for any reason to object to what Canelo is trying to do. If the WBC followed through on their plan to lower the Cruiserweight limit back down to 190, then what? We can be against catchweights for title fights, which I am, at the same time we also need to realize that Cruiserweight has a ridiculously high limit compared to other weight classes, and we need to recognize that Jack is a small Cruiserweight. That doesn't make catchweights for title fights OK, as a matter of principle, they're not, but Cruiserweight is not a normal weight class. And if a catchweight did occur at Cruiserweight, it shouldn't be thought of in the same way that other smaller weight catchweight title fights, Like Cotto Pac at 145 or other petty catchweights. If Canelo fought Jack at 190, he would still be at a massive weight disadvantage. 180 is just absurd, and in my mind unreasonable to Jack. Midway between 168 and 200 is 184 lbs. If you're looking for a weight half way between SMW and and Cruiser, it's 184. Still, in my mind, nothing below 190 should be agreed to. I just want to make that clear. Discussing the possibility of an agreement between 180-190 is not crazy given the 32 lb weight difference between 168 and 200. So I get the objection to catchweight title fights, I'm the biggest anti-catchweight title fight guy there is, but at the same time, we're talking about Cruiserweight, we're not talking about Pac's petty 145 catchweight vs Cotto, there is a massive amount of weight between 168 and 200, and to fail to account for that is short sighted. A catchweight at Cruiserweight is a completely different thing than a catchweight at any other weight. You're blowing stuff out of proportion based on what Jack is saying. Canelo doesn't have a history of draining people in title fights. I'm OK with him exploring a catchweight here with Jack due to the sheer amount of weight difference between 168 and 200, but that doesn't mean I like catchweights for title fights in general, that doesn't mean I'm defending a 180 lb catchweight. I'm not. All I'm saying is that it's different at Cruiserweight, I'm more willing to understand the need for a catchweight in a situation like this vs other situations where it's clearly done to put a fighter at a disadvantage. And I don't think (true or not) Jack should have put this out there, it comes across as classless, but it is what it is, and I'm not gonna take what he said at face value or act like it's a fact. At the same time, I understand the reaction to it.
You don't become Undisputed by ducking people. He fought Champ after Champ, he beat the fighters with the belts. Benavidez isn't the mandatory yet. If he is, then call it a duck. Until then, stop crying. You don't go up to 175 to challenge Kovalev and Bivol if you're not willing to take risks fighting out of your weight class. Catchweight or not, attempting to fight Jack at Cruiserweight is a major challenge. Calling Canelo a ducker is hysterical. This is a guy that took on Mayweather, Lara, GGG 3x, all the Champs at 168, Bivol, Kovalev. This dude has sought out the toughest fights out there consistently year in year out, and he's more active than other fighters. That should be respected, you and other haters need to recognize that Canelo has put the sport on his back for years and years, he deserves respect.
LOL does saying that make you feel better? Can you explain to me one thing - how do you become Undisputed by ducking people? Also how does wanting to rematch Bivol at 175 make him a ducker? He's trying to rematch Bivol at his best weight. That's not ducking, that's trying to make the most difficult fight out there. I get that you think he's ducking Benavidez, but fact is, he's not his mandatory yet. he just won the interim title. Benavidez is a good up and coming prospect, but Canelo has no obligation to fight him at this point. Canelo has nothing to prove to anyone. He could retire tomorrow and he's a HOFer. This dude's been fighting for nearly 20 years as a pro. How can you not respect that? A poor kid from Guadalajara who debuted as a pro as a 15 year old. Look what he's become. Stop acting like an asshat and give the man some respect.
