He's been out of the ring for over a year and if they fight in October, it'll be close to a year and a half. I haven't heard many updates on the status of his hand. Has his hand recovered? Has he been training? Tim already had 2 fights while Charlo has been recovering. I doubt he wants to fight another fights before getting a title shot. If Charlo is not ready for October, they have to consider stripping him.
Charlo doesn't want the smoke with Tszyu I expect him to vacate move up and fight someone like Sulecki
Come up with your own material instead of biting off of everybody else's. Tattoo artists are supposed to be creative, you're as plain and boring as a rock.
you dont need more than 8 weeks to prepare for a fight if you are already a professional fighter. it is a very specific window. if you train longer you start to see diminishing returns. some, myself included, refer to it as being on point. its a peak you reach in your performance that you can hold for a couple weeks. not enough prep and you never hit that peak, too much prep and you slide off that peak. its common knowledge by trainers of animals, like horses, dogs, even fighting roosters. modern trainers never got taught this knowledge. theres a whole lot of things about boxing that modern trainers were never taught. at least thats what i see in their fighters and what i hear in their corners.
Jermello got his ass whooped by Castano and then he sent his 200lb twin to do his dirty work for him in the rematch. Funny how Jermello ever so conveniently being out of action with a mysterious injury that never heals coincides with his brother having gone AWOL and not being able to defend his own title, let alone his brother's ones against a Eurasian King. That gruesome dog bite injury that Eurasian King suffered was 1000 x worse than Jermello's bruised knuckle but he was ready to fight a couple of weeks later
He has two choices: 1) Man up, fight Tszyu, almost certainly get his head knocked off and be exposed as the massive fraud that he is. 2) Keep running, get stripped of his belts and be exposed as the massive fraud that he is. Tough call.
On what basis is Charlo entitled to a tune up? He's been ordered to fight before 30 September. Why should Tszyu have to put his career on hold any longer? Your prediction may well come true but I just don't see how it would be allowed to play out that way.
Hand seems to have healed and hes back doing some training. (4) Jermell Charlo Talks Broken Hand, Tim Tszyu, Gervonta Davis | Full Interview | FIGHT TOWNS: Houston - YouTube
