Your right the inactivity doesn't do the fighter good we've seen it be proven, in general these guys just want to sit out & take only high paydays with low risk when it suits them which is one major problem in the sport today,

Teo is also a lot younger than Taylor but it felt less of that & more to do with Teo figuring him out & countering when wanted that was the difference here.

Taylor looked awful and got battered for the last two rounds, the other rounds both fighters just scored here and there but Lopez landed the quality shots.

How much would you rate Taylor`s performance out of 10? That last round was humiliating, Taylor was holding on for the last 20 seconds and Lopez was toying with him.

Being a scottish taylor fan that was a disappointing result.
Saying that after rewatching the fight it was closer than what i first thought. The usa commentary was a little bit biased towards lopez imo and didnt give taylor much credit especially in the first few rounds where taylor was winning. I think teo also got extra credit because most ppl didnt expect him to win and he exceeded expectations quite a bit by putting on such a strong performance.
Saying that he looked excellent in the second half of the fight especially the last 3 rounds where he caught taylor at will with big shots.
    I scored the fight
    Rd1 taylor
    Rd2 taylor
    Rd3 taylor
    Rd4 lopez
    Rd5 lopez
    Rd6 lopez
    Rd7 taylor
    Rd8 lopez
    Rd9 lopez
    Rd10 lopez
    Rd11 lopez
    Rd12 lopez
I think 116-112 was a fair result, maybe 115-113 if your being generous to taylor.
Overall taylor needs to regroup and look at rebuilding his career. Maybe a couple of easy fights to build up his confidence would be best. For him to achieve what he did in the first 18 fights of his career is impressive and he definitely deserves a couple of easy paydays before jumping in against the best again.
Teo was brilliant and all credit to the guy, he was excellent considering most had taylor beating him. I think alot of ppl underestimated him which was silly considering what hes achieved so far.

I would rate taylor as 7 out of 10 in this fight. I think style wise teo is a bad match up for taylor and he struggled because it. After rewatching the fight i dont think taylor did too badly but teo really pulled out a great performance in the last few rounds and thats what swung the fight.

when people say the commentary was biased, i immediately assume they believe it swayed perception because they themselves are swayed by commentary, so they expect the same in others. i know boxing. i know what im seeing regardless of whats coming out of a talking heads mouth. i dont need them to confirm or correct what i know is happening.

I am happy to admit that commentary can sometimes sway my opinion on a fight and how it went. Usually another viewing of fight helps me decide more accurately who won certain rounds. End of the day boxing to a certain extent comes down to opinions, especially in close fights and close rounds and if the commentary constantly highlights the good stuff a certain boxer does then you can easily come away thinking that boxer was more dominant than he was.

Just stepoing out of training camp for a few moments so cannot get into detailed debnate but noticed last night a lot of back and forth on here as youi would expect for such a consequential match up like JT vs Teo. You make a lot of strong solid points about JT's resume which I think hss always stood out about him. His excellent amateur pedigree also enabled him to be matched tough as well. Teo forget the crap that comes out of his mouth is also a quality fighter. Many thought JT would walk through him but I did not see it like that at all. My big issue going into this fight was the poor performances of both in their previous fights against Caterall and Sandor respectively. Taylor I have always had a soft for because like a fighter I once had he was a very aggressive southpaw for suck a skilled technical boxer, however what he displayed now is a ceiling or his know-how. From what I saw he does not win a rematch and may get stopped if they fight again at 140 pounds. Teo might be an *******, you won't get me defending the crap that comes out of his mouth but he can be an excellent boxer puncher when focussed.

ive changed my mind before on what i thought of the fight, after seeing it a second time. but the commentary never had anything to do with it. thats cause there are things i look for in every fight that tell me what is happening, and why its happening. that helps me determine what is going to happen. commentary rarely mentions the specific things im looking for, so they dont become a factor.

Learn how to box before you comment on boxing you emotional child. Teo dominated this fight and no rounds you scored for Taylor were convincing. Your judgement is below novice level at best. I'm glad Taylor another UK hypejob got exposed so you can make emotional post over a sport you tried and gave up on.

One of the most bipolar comments of all time. I hope Lopez continues to **** you off so you can make more bipolar comments. Continue on.

Taylor was only landing some jabs here and there, it wa clear Lopez was more skilled and too fast. Lopez wa one beat ahead a Taylor nearly every single time. I gave Taylor two rounds in this fight. Taylor wa an okay amateur.
I was thinking about the similarities of Taylor and Spence. I like Taylor`s movement more he's more balanced and fluid to me. Spence overall better especially the jab. Crawford stylistically a bad match up for Spence, definitely lighter on his feet, but that's the part that makes Spence more dangerous. He gets way more weight into his shots than Taylor can.
