    • 2 opponents he fought - old Vladimir he ducked rematch on, and Wilder - that is it
    • insted fighting champions or top contenders he fought journeymen
    • he used steroids
    • now he has no opponents, he is still ducking top contenders (AJ, Hrgovic, Ruiz....)
    And still
    • he is considered a true champion, by some he is already in all time greats
    • this forum defends him like true apologists, almost like they are on pay
    • the media props him up, everything he says ends up on headlines, he is the face of boxing if you ask media
    • Usyk is some eastern european trash

Currently very few defends him on here. UK media obviously going to defend him, cause of Warren and their PR paid team of Talksport and his cheerleader Gareth A. Davies.

UK benefits from having boxing champions, that is why guys like AJ and Fury dominate, it is like state company

The narrative around Fury has changed since the end of last year.

Even his promoters are having a hard time handling him.

It's clear that Fury wants the path of least resistance to the most money and will lie, cheat and steal his way to get there.

It isn't true he is a product of media hype, though.
In fact, the UK media hated him for a long time. He wasn't given the same promotion as others coming up. He had almost zero fanfare when he returned after defeating Wlad. Then the entire establishment turned on him for his politically incorrect statements that would have been ignored if he was a muslim or a nigerian etc.

It was only after the comeback and Wilder fights, when he signed with ESPN and other agencies, that he started getting the promotional hype. So he still had to beat Wilder to get it, three times.

It's also not true he got flagged for nandralone for the Wlad fight, it was the fight against Hammer. And whatever the case with Fury's PED case, the idea Wlad was clean is pretty hard to believe, actually. He was the bodybuilder before AJ. He was also extremely dodgy with his cheating tactics in that Fury fight, so let's not hold him up as some great sportsman. He screwed Fury around with forced glove demands and wouldn't properly supply the gear for training, and tried to make the ring a bouncy castle to slow Fury down until the commission stepped in. K2 contracts are notorious too.

Wladimir was a dirtbag too. He's always come across as someone with a superiority complex.

Tyson Fury saved HW boxing and has defeated two men who hadn't been beat in years in devastating fashion and he will do it another time against Usyk.

Fury is getting on everyone’s nerves.

The ducking and low balling of Usyk is hard to defend.

Fury has a far far inflated sense of what his commercial worth is. Promoters have clearly lost money on his last few fights (Which while sold out an arena, didn’t hit big PPV figures)

    low balling?

Wembley nets £60-80m maximum. Fury is a 30-40m per fight fighter which will double in Saudi.

Usyk is worth 30% which nets him £24m on a good day

If they are going to Wembley then Usyk accepts 30% every single day. Fury doesn't write the offers the management who know the figures do.

You think Usyk is going to fight pin head Dubious for £6m?

The lack of understanding of the basic figures from people is laughable.

If you think Fury got £30 mil to fight Whyte and Chisora you must be in cloud cuckoo.

Fury does moderate numbers. Nothing wrong with that. If he fights AJ or Wilder….or Usyk - it does extremely good numbers.

To offer someone who has 3/4 of the belts 30%…then bottle it when they accept. He’s a joke

"2 opponents he fought - old Vladimir he ducked rematch on, and Wilder - that is it"

Fury has 34 pro fights so he's fought a lot more than two opponents. But if you want to be reductive, Lewis fought Vitali and Holyfield and no one else, got sparked by two of the nobodies and ducked the Vitali rematch. Wlad beat Haye, Byrd and grappled Povetkin but got KO'd by three nobodies.

"insted fighting champions or top contenders he fought journeymem"

Wilder 3 and Whyte were both top contenders for the WBC. Chisora 3 was a poor defence and a cynical cash grab but we've seen many of those over the years.

    "he used steroids"

They all do and a long list of prominent fighters have been busted: Vitali, Povetkin, Ortiz, Whyte etc. Wlad, Joshua and Wilder haven't been caught but like Holyfield (who never popped officially) they are obviously heavy juicers as well.

"now he has no opponents, he is still ducking top contenders (AJ, Hrgovic, Ruiz....)"

Fury may be waiting for the Saudi money to box Usyk at the end of the year. Joshua just fought Franklin and is looking to fight Whyte next (another journeyman by your logic, surely bummier now Fury's KO'd him and Franklin went life and death), Hrgovic has been linked with McKean but is promoted by Hearn so could in theory fight Joshua (which won't happen ofc) and Ruiz would be considered a complete no-hoper if he signed to fight Fury, which he didn't (probably because he wants a lot more money to cash out).
