I was just looking through the HW rankings, and I'm finding it hard to believe that EVERYONE in the top 30 or so, with only 2 exceptions, are all extremely old. Practically every one of them are at an age when the majority of HW greats and not so greats were pretty much done, or in the very late twilight of their careers. Anyone else know more about this, how can it be that they are so old and so numerous?
All sports they go on much longer now. Thanks to nutrition, training methods, chiropractors, and physical therapy.
cos they are sitting about beating bums look at the bums the likes of pulev has beat hes crap and folk are up his arse saying his jab is fantastic lol his jab is fantastic against bums thats it
Yes, that's why we need the big fights now. Time is running out. And for all the complaining about Fury, Wilder, Joshua and whoever else, just look at the lack of top young contenders behind them. Hrgovic could be in the mix I guess, plus maybe Anderson and Jalolov? Pretty weak if that's your Tier 1 guys....
It is actually because the sport is on life support, and what good young heavies there are are mostly EEs and Cental Asians who find it more profitable to stay in the amateurs. But yeah, chiropractors too.
Modern HWs don't even start their primes until they are 30 years old. Look at Tyson Fury and Wlad Klitschko. Hell, Usyk looked unbelievable and better than ever against Gassiev when he was 31. That was Cruiserweight and he looked brilliant against AJ when he was even older at HW.
I did share the same room with Andy Ruiz Jr. and he is very much a physical specimen. You don’t see a man with that size of a neck, chest, and shoulders not even when you go to a weight lifting gym. The guy is an absolute tank.
