The Almighty Charles Martin

 

Charles Martin is a respectable fighter. He did very well vs Luis Ortiz and showed that he has been improving. A win over Charles is something very respectable to have on your record.

 

Huh? Martin is a glass jawed joke who stumbled, literally, into a title belt. He's a mediocre fringe contender who got lucky.

Martin is going to be annihilated. He's a KO waiting to happen, again. Anderson will destroy him a round, two tops.

 

If Anderson is as good as his fans think he is then yes he should dispatch Martin pretty easily, especially as Martin hasn't fought for 9 months and looked out of shape in that fight and this was taken on short notice.

It will be a good test to see what potential Anderson actually possesses. He crushes Martin like Joshua then he might indeed be a top contender, if he struggles then he's likely just a fringe contender because as you say Martin was always just mediocre and is perhaps the luckiest fighter to win a title.

Yeah, it was too good to be true, Anderson fighting boxer, with good power and solid skills.

Ruiz beat AJ. Ortiz beat Ruiz and Martin got very close to beating Ortiz?

In all honesty I don't remember who he got his belt from and I sort of don't care. The fighter who almost beat Ortiz showed plenty of room for improvement and could very well become a serious contender.

Are you saying that Charles is unworthy of this fight vs Anderson?

 

Yes Anderson will probably blast him out, but you have to realize it's not like Anderson has 25 fights under his belt. He needs this kind of opponents to progress in development. It's strange how some people think a fighter is ready to challenge for a title these days after 13 or 14 fights. George Foreman fought 37 times before challenging Frazier because he didn't have a lot of rounds as an amateur even though he won a gold medal.. A fighter needs these type bouts to learn his craft, sometimes he just learns how to get a reluctant opponent outta there.

 

I'm trying to rally the crew to go to this fight but no one wants to drive the 2 hours from NE Ohio to NW Ohio smh.........

Good fight for Anderson. Charles might be a joke in the boxing fan community but he isn't a pure bum he still shouldn't be underestimated. If he's in shape and Anderson sweeps him quickly then we can look closer at Anderson and he can start getting some proper tests like David Price.
