Boxxer under pressure from Sky ?

I think Riakhpore gets found out at world level and we get CBS-Opetaia next year.

 

Matchroom have started to put the squeeze onto Boxxer in the recent months, and it's showing.

They're looking at taking Azeez to fight Bivol, potentially taking away a big Boxxer show in Buatsi/Azeez.

They want to take Eubank Jr to fight Benn, taking way the Smith rematch and there's also talk of Smith himself going back to Matchroom.

They went all in to the Wardley/Clarke potential fight and left Boxxer and Clarke looking a bit daft.

Now there's talk of Beatriz Ferreira/Caroline Dubois, which to be honest having seem very little of both, I'm not sure who's the favourite or likely to win but a Dubois loss would damage another of Boxxer's top hopes.

Obviously there's a lot in all that which hasn't happened yet and if Boxxer come out with Buatsi/Azeez and Smith/Eubank JR 2 then fair play to them but the pressure is being applied.

Thing is, those of us who don't really care eitherway about promoters and just want to see good fights, can't really disagree with any of the above (ignoring the stuff about "going into hiding" that doesn't apply to most of us anyway).

Boxxer's cards are not looking great anytime soon; Sky will continue to make a meal out of Marshall and the Olympian ladies but that aside, they must be wondering what they've got themselves into. The upside for them is they can always do a deal with someone else and the other channels need them to carry out PPV sales.

 

This is a more balanced view and makes more sense

I wouldn't mind but he is full of crap

Marshall was with Boxxer from the beginning of the sky deal

Nobody was excited about Okolie and some thought Mckinson might be a good addition to undercards

Buatsi was quite a big deal I guess and that's hardly been a flop so far considering it's only months in to the deal

 

Matchroom had matching rights on Dalton Smith and activated them. The new contract they signed with him doesn’t have matching rights this time around.

There’s only one person who looks daft and it’s the one tagging people in his pro-Matchroom posts hoping for a seal of approval. Actually daft isn’t the word, more obsessed.

There’s more than one promoter in boxing. Stop getting so attached to one and you’ll enjoy it a lot more.

The complaint people have is the good fights are not being made resulting in crap fights across all broadcasting platforms.

The sad thing is that Matchroom has a huge budget yet the cards on at a time to suit the UK viewers on DAZN UK are consistently very underwhelming.

We fans are being poked on all channels with substandard garbage.
