Seems to be the logical move. Canelo has had plenty freedom operating unencumbered as a free agent. Hopefully some good matchups on the way.

 

Explain the purpose of a Charlo fight. He has no fights at 168. No fights at all in 2 years. What’s the point of this fight when an actual super middleweight has been the number one contender for years now?

 

I wonder what weight division the Texan waitress was campaigning in? Whether or not she had elite head movement? was she southpaw or orthodox? Good tune up for a Canelo or a Boo Boo? She doesn't have a wiki page so info on her is limited, all I know is her footwork was so crisp a third man had to swipe her legs from under her.

dude John Ryder was a crappy fight for Canelo, but he has shown VASTLY more heart as a boxer than David Benavidez, David has 2’notable opponents a older dirrell and Caleb plant who has just got KO’d by Canelo.. Jacobs/Parker is on the same type of level and if you say Jacobs was close he arguably beat Callum smith when he was lineal and Rocky fielding, that’s way better than anything Benavidez has attempted to do so far… I’d pay for Canelo vs Benavidez didn’t pay for Canelo vs Ryder but as a fighter from a sports perspective John Ryder>David Benavidez.. the man need to fight somebody and all these guys need to fight somebody.. if you sitting around waiting to get picked it’s your own fault when a guy like Ryder comes and gets 2 big wins and INSTANTLY passes your resume and ends up getting the fight instead..

 

Bro at this point let Charlo be last in line. Homie been out for two years. At least this gives Charlo some type of chance to be competitive

It’s not canelo fault charlo is inactive only one one to blame is him, imo Charlo can have 5 tune ups before facing Canelo and still loses Canelo is level’s above Charlo

 

Weird how anything any other fighter does is way better than Benavidez, but when you look at the records, they haven’t fought anyone. We can do this for Plant, Fielding, and everyone at 168 that Canelo has fought so far. Why is it that Benavidez needs this stellar resume before a Canelo fight, but nobody else does? No need to answer as 1., it’s retorical, and 2., no bs answers needed. Canelo has been at 168 for several years now. Since December 2018 to be exact. You all scream that Benavidez never fought any of those champions, but those champions didn’t fight each other either. So why does just 1 single fighter need to go through all these hurdles you guys propose, but nobody else does? Again, no need to answer because of 1 and 2.

There are lots of solid fighters. Big deal. There is still no reason why a guy who has been waiting in line since 2019, still has to wait in line and complete all these side missions first.
