Who wins if we pit the top 20/25 heavyweights of Marcianos era vs the top 20/25 light heavyweights of the Ward/Beterbiev era
    Some possible matchups
    Joe Smith vs Rex Layne
    Marciano vs Beterbiev
    Ward vs Charles
    Patterson vs Bivol etc

i think at the top level marciano charles moore and walcott win the share of their fights. i wouldn't be shocked if beterbiev cut rocky up and ward charles is one i'd love to see, i can't straight pick charles there.

below that i think the 10-25 lhw's win significantly more.

It's an interesting idea ,but of your examples I would still pick the heavyweights.

Beterbiev, Bivol and Gvozdyk (before the Beterbiev fight) all three would be in the Top 10 heavyweights of the 50s. I can't predict exactly which light heavyweights 2014-2022 would beat which heavyweights 1950-1958.
Those with the same weight enter the ring, or even light heavyweights 2014-2022 are heavier.
Cruiserweight (under 200lbs) Oleksandr Usyk would be Heavyweight Champion in the 50s.

If you had to make a top 20 list for both eras who would you have in it based on h2h
