Anyone with a weak-ish chin for a start. At his comeback best (around when he fought Holyfield), all his old power was there.

At his comeback best, he would certainly be capable of some upsets. High ring IQ, great stamina management, big power, great jab, top tier durability. That's a lot to work with. Being slow as molasses was his main weakness.

He stood up to everything Holyfield and Moorer threw at him. I don't rate Ali as a harder puncher than Holyfield or Moorer.

60/40 LL would have taken him too lightly and got KTFO.

Who did Dempsey beat who was remotely close to Big George's quality and physical assets. Dempsey's seek and destroy strategy would play right into George's fists.

He slaughters them both. They had terrible defense and would be coming towards him aggressively with sloppy technique and wild swings. Easy day in the office for Foreman.

Walker at HW? When he starts he will have about the same amount of damage as late WW period Walker.
But fuhgettibout that-don't you think that Walker, even if he is just heavier in water & fat-but some muscle is almost certain-that bulk will give him more punch resistance?
I think there is not much doubt about it.

But again, you are saying the historical Jimmy Walker had better punch resistence than Primo?!?
Why? One more KO loss & fighting much lighter/smaller men.
Also if Walker was more skilled, he likely btook less punishment.

Maybe this should be a thread!
You unlike many believe most of Primo's bouts were legitimate correct?
Yet you still do not think he had as good a chin as a man he dwarfed in every way, who did not do better at avoiding KOs against much smaller men, despite boxing better?

One thing about punch resistance. Foremans trainer in his first career had him dehydrate all the way to the dressing room before the fight and then he would get his first drink of water in days. 1 or 2 hours before the fight is not enough time to rehydrate all the fluids in your brain and it surely affects punch resistance.

I agree. Frazier waaay to quick, and that left hook would puff up Foreman’s face like a lemon.

You could definitely make the argument that Ali was a great finisher, if not an exceptionally hard puncher.
