This question is hot liquid garbage.

Tommy Morrison held the WBO title for just a few months before being obliterated by Michael Bentt. He only had one successful defense against Tomashek.

Wilder was a champion for five years with ten successful defenses and lost, not to a random unknown, but a former champion.

Damn, this is a head scratcher.

I'd rank this question right up there with "Is water wet?" or "Is the Sun hot?" in terms of intellectual difficulty.

People find it hard to accept and give Wilder respect because most of the names on his resume suck and he still doesn't pass the eye test BUT there is more to Wilder than meets the eye and Fury had to try to beat him and he was the guy who fought a ducked Louis Ortiz who has a decent operator when he was 80 years old although now he is 100.

Infact a lot of these heavyweights have more than meets the eye it's really easy to the hyper critical of them. Mentality and toughness to endure adversity really defines and sets apart the top crop which is why AJ has flopped.

When Wilder lightly touches AJ and blows his head off he'll get his respect as the hardest puncher of all times. The guy is a weirdo. 215 pounds of TNT in a 6'7" frame.

With just one win against Foreman, Tommy Morrison did what Wilder hasn't done yet. Although I cannot consider Tommy "The Duke" Morrison as a world champion at all, because he was only the holder of the WBO belt, while the WBO is not a major world title.

P.S. Foreman's "second career" would have been viewed in a very different light if he had won the WBO belt against Morrison and lost to Michael Moorer.

Neither was a champion, so it's a tie.

Exactly. Both mediocre contenders who became paper "champions."

Getting KOed by Bennt is worse than if Wilder got iced in 1 round by Helenius. I would put Morrison more at Dillion Whyte level.
