I don't see any lineal WW champion stopping that version of Sharkey. Assuming I'm correct, they'd need to decision him. For me to favour a WW lineal champion to decision Sharkey, they'd need to meet each of the following 3 x criteria: 1) Weigh c.165lbs+ in good fighting shape in or very close to their prime 2) Have an iron chin 3) The 199lbs Sharkey is going to land heavier blows than any WW lineal champ, so to sufficiently offset that to win a decision, they'd need to be able to either - A) Outbox Sharkey; or B) Outwork him My top 10 at WW, admittedly based on greatness as achieved in their own era, rather than on time machine H2H estimates, is as follows: 1) SRR - Doesn't meet criteria 1), meets 2) & probably 3A) - I'd probably give the 157lbs SRR that fought Maxim, assuming normal temperature conditions, the best chance on this list, but still wouldn't favour him 2) SRL - Doesn't quite meet 1) (I consider him past prime by the Lalonde fight), meets 2) & possibly 3A) - I'd probably give him the 2nd best chance, again would not favour him 3) Napoles - Doesn't meet 1), borderline meets 2) (though cuts could be an issue) & as great as a boxer as he was, I don't think he had the size to spend enough time at his preferred half to three quarters range to outbox Sharkey - even Sharkey's jab would badly knock him off balance at that range 4) Armstrong - Doesn't meet 1); does meet 2) & 3B )- again, just too small 5) Britton - Doesn't meet 1), does meet 2), I've not seen footage to determine whether he could outbox Sharkey, but as with Napoles, I suspect his lack of size would prohibit him from out boxing Jack at range and being strong enough to stay in range long enough to outbox him there 6) Griffiths - Doesn't meet 1), does meet 2) & 3B) 7) Gavilan - Doesn't meet 1), does meet 2) & possibly 3B) 8) Hearns - Meets 1) and 3A), but not 2) - I could see the Hearns that beat Hill taking an early lead, but he's likely to get caught & stopped at some point 9) Mayweather - Doesn't meet 1), maybe meets 2) (clearly his chin wasn't weak, but I don't know if it was iron, simply because he was too good defensively to have to prove it), as for 3A), he was a master boxer, but as with Napoles & Britton, given disadvantages in height & reach I'm not sure he could outbox Sharkey at long range, and given disadvantages in weight, strength & power, I doubt he could stay in the pocket long enough to outbox him, even though he was vastly quicker & more skilled than Jack. The size difference is just too great. 10) Fields - Doesn't meet 1), seems to have met 2) once he filled out into a WW, I haven't seen any footage to make a determination on 3, though I suspect it's irrelevant as he's likely too small Walker obviously met 1), 2) & 3B), which was good enough to get him a draw. If my above interpretations are correct, it's a good indicator for the scale of the acheivement.
