Wilder offers 70-30, Ruiz wants 50-50

Fatty Ruiz pricing himself out of a Wilder fight, just like he priced himself out of a Fury fight

 

Again, Wilder doesn't want that fight. He is all over Internet, acting exactly like Fury. If he wanted the fight, he would have let his manager do the work.
I didn't hear him crying all over the net when he was fighting Helenius.

He is acting like he is some big draw, but he is not. The guy is delusional, always was, and has always been protected. That's why his resume is utter s****, and never even dare to fight semi-good or past prime fighters.

His fans obviously going to buy his nonsenses, but not a normal person would buy that he somehow now decide to fight Ruiz, just before fighting AJ in December.
He had a full year, and the fight was ordered last year, and WIlder was oh, i'm just exploring my options.

Ruiz father literally destroys Wilder:

Last Sunday, in an Instagram post, Wilder applied pressure on Ruiz by asking him to be a man, make his own decisions, and not allow his father to derail their negotiations.

Wilder states that "a lot of money" has been offered to Ruiz, but his father is allegedly making further demands.

However, Ruiz Sr. claims that the offer was only 30% split for his son. They want a 50-50 split with the former WBC world champion.

“Wilder wants to offer Andy around 30%," Ruiz Sr. explained. “We want 50-50, because Wilder is no longer a champion, he is coming off a very bad fight, where he fought against a sparring partner (Robert Helenius). I think that sparring partner took a dive. And Andy is coming off a good fight that lasted 12 rounds (with Luis Ortiz).

“It's not good money, and I will tell you why. They are offering almost the same amount of money that (Andy) received when he beat Ortiz. How is it possible to receive the same amount of money with Wilder as we did with King Kong. Andy and Wilder are going to fill up a stadium, they are going to sell a crazy amount of PPV, because everybody wants to see that fight. They are not offering a fair split. The only thing we are asking is a 50-50 split, we are not asking for anything else. 50-50 and we are ready to fight Wilder, and give him a good beating. Wilder will suffer the same beating as (Anthony) Joshua.

“Andy has enough money because of the investments that he has done. He has millions of dollars, and that’s why Wilder is angry, because he had to negotiate with me. He wanted me to persuade my son to fight for a certain amount of money, and he is dumb, he is stupid, if he thinks that I would try to persuade my son to accept a fight for that kind of money when Andy doesn’t want to fight for that amount. He (Wilder) is out of his mind.

“We don’t have a deadline. Wilder doesn’t have any other options at this moment. Where is he going to fight? His option is to fight again with King Kong (again). But Ortiz is low profile now, nobody knows about him, he is not in the news anymore. There is Chris Arreola, but Arreola is going to fight Frank Sanchez. Joshua? He is not fighting Joshua at this moment. Fury? He is going to fight with Usyk in December, and most probably they will have a rematch clause, and they will fight again at the end of 2024. Wilder will be 40 years old. That's why Andy is his only option, and with both of them receiving good money."

Ruiz manager also exposed Fury badly, as he said they never comes close to even discuss numbers.

But yeah i'm sure anyone going to believe your boy Fury, who is doing everything in his power to duck Usyk, and find an excuse, and lose most of his fanbase. Same guy that was donating his purse to charity.
Same guy that for the last 2 month is announcing a "monstrous" fight.
Same guy who was in a camp for Usyk, just for his own trainer to expose him, and Fury own father then wanted Sugar Hill sacked.

40/40, winner gets the other 20. Make the fight happen.

 

I think this theory is spot on. Joshua said that Wilder KO'ing mutual opponent Breazeale in 1 put pressure on him to perform against Ruiz. AJ looked shaken in those pre-fight interviews and that was when he was still undefeated.

Ruiz also fits the mould as an easy mark: short fat stubby plodder but with less one punch power than Stiverne or Arreola.

I think team Wilder should cough up here. Andy brings a lot to the table: he's got the Mexican fans and the AJ fans behind him. People don't conceive of this fight as a mismatch because Ruiz smashed 2019 Joshua and Wilder may be shopworn. And Ruiz being short and fat adds to the potential humiliation stakes for Wilder, giving it a car crash TV quality.

Ruiz is 33 after 27 years in the sport, has made millions and sprung one of the biggest ever upsets to win three belts. Fighting Wilder = worse health + the possibility of being brutally KO'd and humiliated. So at this stage of his career Ruiz wants to be well compensated and he doesn't seem to be in love with the sport anyway.

If Wilder wants a fight prior to Joshua maybe he can fight Franklin or someone like that. But that's a nothing fight compared to Wilder-Ruiz, whether 70-30 or 50-50. It's not like Wilder has great alternatives in the immediate future pre-AJ. Ruiz can look for rematches with Parker or Ortiz, which are much lower risk. And if Wilder KO's Ruiz he gets a further psychological advantage over AJ, which could potentially be the difference between winning and losing that fight and going on to another mega fight/title shot or not.

Jesus ****ing Christ, the WBC just need to order purse bids and get this over with. Either the sides accept the splits then and fight, or one walks away and a new fight gets ordered. The last fight to determine this final eliminator was eight months ago, and it's June now. Let's move this **** along so the heavyweight division can at least have some good fights in the second half of this year.

 

70/30 sounds fair since Wilder is the bigger draw.

 

More like that Ruiz is in shambles now. His ex-wife suing him, wants to take everything from hi, is spreading lies all over the place, and Ruiz literally hasn't been even seen training, and it's in his all time low.
Sounds familiar? Aka when Wilder picked Fury, imagine that he would have been an easy fight, and a big name on his resume.

But the funny part is Wilder is still trying to outprice himself out with ridiculous demands and thinking he is bigger than he is.

 

And Wilder has one win in like 3-5 years.
