Considering this is their only British card of the month, it wasn't great. Looking forward to Cain Baluta in March though.

    Why so much negativity?

Very enjoyable night of boxing from the York Hall.

No one wants to see the Janibek Bentley rematch. I'd much rather see Bentley against Sheeraz, but I'm not sure whether Sheeraz's team want the fight.

Bentley is a good fighter and performed well against Janibek but there’s a big gap between British level and world level. I’d like to see him have 1 or 2 more first before getting thrown back in there.

Janibek is making Top Rank zero money. If the whisper I heard is true, Frank could be trying to do a 2 fight package with Bob. 1st fight Bentley and if he wins, he’s defends against Sheeraz - both in London.

Hope that’s BS though. My plan would be Bentley v Signani for the Euro & Sheeraz v Liam Williams. Winners then meet up which should probably be Franks boys

I’d be happy with that. Would like to see Denzel fight Kieron Conway too.

Agreed. He got stopped in 3 rounds by Felix Cash who will lose to Austin Williams and probably isn't world-level. I don't even mind if they do a double-header on a card with Bentley and Sheeraz (maybe one of them against Signani for the European Belt), and then letting them fight each other next year as a big headline.

Bentley Sheeraz is much bigger than either against Janibek in my opinion.
I'd agree with that. Janibek would beat both Bentley and Sheeraz so wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Middleweight is very weak right now. Tomorrow Falcao is fighting a German in Germany for the vacant IBF Belt. I think British promoters should be looking at that as a free belt for any top Middleweight they have.

I\d prefer to see Liam Smith against Janibek instead. Smith is 2nd with the WBO. Golovkin is 1st but likely won't fight another Kazakh. Rumours are that Golovkin will fight John Ryder in Kazakshtan at 168 next instead.

A HUGE question mark over Conor Benns stablemates performance there though

There's no evidence though so there's no point in speculating, when in all likelihood all these top fighters are probably on some sort of banned substance. I remember when someone started a thread about Joshua failing a test after he beat Franklin, and it was quickly disproven.

Bentley would definitely do better against Cash if they fought again, he learnt a lot from the defeat.
Conway is fighting Linus Udofia in an eliminator for Bentley's British Title on the Joshua-Whyte card apparently. Would be nice to see Hearn and George Warren do more business together. So far they have made Cash against Bentley and also John Ryder against Zach Parker, both headlining on BT.

Last 14 months in the Sims gym:

    - Benn failed a test

    - Felix Cash pulled out of 2 fights on fight week with ‘illness’

    - Craig Richards pulled out of 2 fights on fight week with ‘illness’

    - Joe Cordina, previously feather fisted at British level, ironed out a world champion with one punch

    - Cash had a fight inbetween his 2 illnesses and looked dreadful.

They really need to try raise the profile of Bentley. A very good fighter with great potential.

Comes across very likeable too, someone that the public could get behind. Get him a few more decent fights before throwing him back in at the deep end.

Would be nice to see him fight Cash again but maybe that's beyond him. Perhaps they will manage him a different route instead.

Cash looks suspect as hell tbh. Cordina all of a sudden knocking guys senseless is also an eye opener. Yeah, he was a novice, but Benn didn’t look like he could crack and egg in the early days..it’s all very strange

Either that or the Sims gym is the unluckiest gym in the world. Benn had 2 contaminated tests 5 weeks apart and then 2 of their fighters fell ill on fight week 4 times between them in the space of 9 months.
