Yeah pretty much the same old nonsense then he brings up the Southpaw argument in every debate with no context. Remember when he was spouting how Holyfield was 1-3 vs Southpaws on his other account "ShortRound" ? and yet 2 of those losses was when Holyfield was shot and over the age of 40 ? which anyone with common sense would tend to think it was more due to that fact that Holyfield was shopworn rather than struggling against Southpaws. Holyfield also during this time got beat up by James Toney who wasn't a Southpaw. Even against Moorer it wasn't the Southpaw style, it was the heart problems that Holyfield was having and he was lackluster in the fight. We see Holyfield had no problems when he was 100 percent against Moorer in the rematch, when he had him on the floor about half a dozen times. As for Tyson ? Usyk has shown some vulnerability to pressure fighters in Breidis, Chisora. And has also shown a weakness to body punches, Tyson was a very good body puncher in his prime especially his right hook to the body followed by the uppercut. Not to mention being one of the best H2H pressure fighters in Heavyweight history. Anyone with real logic would obviously realize style wise Tyson matches up very well vs Usyk and should be favoured in this match up. Lastly i gave up on this poster after this thread you remember this load of nonsense he spouted here ? https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/oleksandr-usyk-lennox-lewis.691543/ Notice the exact same posting style ? and ridiculous takes ? Also in a recent thread he favoured Chisora over Louis lol, as i said to another poster in a recent thread. This guy tries to act smart with his useless statistics and tries to be intelleuctual. But in actual fact he's absolute moron with no common sense about how styles work in boxing, and only ever favours modern boxers in mostly every instance.
I love it how some (two) of the most passionate Usyk **cks*****s avoid such threads at all costs. They prefer to make Usyk shines with a victory over an imaginary fight against Fury, but not anyone else. Speaks enough for their objectivity and how high they really see their idol.
HW Prime Wlad: usyk loses Prime Vitali: usyk loses Prime Mike Tyson: usyk loses Prime Muhammad Ali: usyk loses Prime George Foreman: usyk loses Prime Joe Frazier: usyk loses Prime Tyson Fury: usyk wins Prime HW Evander Holyfield: usyk loses Prime Lennox Lewis: usyk loses Prime Alexander Povetkin: usyk wins Prime Clubber Lang: ........... Prime Deontay Wilder: usyk wins CW Prime Haye: usyk wins Prime Johnny Nelson: usyk wins Prime CW Evander Holyfield: usyk loses
I couldn’t agree more. If he brought up the southpaw factor in a rational manner, where he also looked at all of the other factors, then his point would certainly be respected. But he’s not able to do that. He’s just not equipped to be able to have an objective debate.
TBH I have not seen enough of Usyk at Heavyweight to give an honest opinion on how he would actually fare against past Greats of the division. Without a doubt his career at Cruiser is top of the class with great depth and imo he has a shout as the best ever in that division, however as a Heavyweight with only three opponents and two of those being basically journeymen and the other opponent a well known flawed fighter it really is hard to gauge how he would fare against the past Greats without personal opinion coming into it .
ha ha ha your putting povetkin as a great your having a laff usyk would beat vladimir klichko cos the fella lost to crap folk worse than usyk he would probably loose to vitali he was a hard man tough guy
"a guy like Ali would only have had a sub-5% chance against Usyk" Ali obviously couldn't KO Usyk and he obviously couldn't outbox him, so his only chance would be a freak injury. Usyk is standard deviations above in IQ, much fitter and more durable, as well as being an elite modern athlete (rather than an elite athlete 60 years ago), he knows Ali's style like the back of his hand and he's a stylistic nightmare for Ali. Ali got taken to school by extreme boxing latecomer Ken Norton, it's a sub-5% chance that he could beat Usyk at best.
You’re completely incapable of having a sensible debate. Your Alts have been banned. You are on various posters ignore lists. Your credibility is zero. If you didn’t fixate on only one factor, we could debate. But we can’t. Because you’re not rational. You’ve obviously got some mental health issues which you need to address.
I'd give Mike Tyson a much better chance than Ali because he was a hard puncher with a direct style but I still would make him a clear underdog vs Usyk because he was a tiny heavyweight, a big A-sider, lacked Usyk's intangibles and versatility, never beat anyone nearly as good as Usyk and lost to inferior boxers than Usyk. Mike Tyson barely beat blown-up CW 31-8 Tillis, who was no heavier than Briedis in the ring. And nowhere near as accomplished. Briedis 3x cruiserweight champion and Ring cruiserweight champion Beat Charr (KO5), Huck (9-3), Perez (8-4), champ Glowacki (KO3) and champ Dorticos (9-3) Never knocked down or KO’d in 30 pro fights Got the better of Vitali in sparring and never hurt by Wlad over “30-40 rounds” in sparring, despite Wlad trying to take Briedis’s head off in at least some of the sessions Only lost to undefeated southpaw future Ring cruiserweight champions (7-5 Usyk, 8-4 Opetaia)
"You’ve obviously got some mental health issues which you need to address." That's the pot calling the kettle black, grandpa. If I'm mentally ill then you must be too or you wouldn't have gone back and forth dozens(?) of times with me, which you evidently can't stop yourself from doing even now. You'd just dismiss my supposed ravings outright.
I keep giving you chances, in the vain hope that another brain cell has been activated. But it looks as though you’re at full capacity. So you take care now.
Completely befuddled and resigned to defeat, the old fart just can't help himself but pathetically respond to the "mentally ill person" every time!
I would favour him against all the HW’s on that list apart from Lennox, Tyson & Ali. Usyk is similar in size to most of the above and is quicker than them all aside maybe Ali. Also a smarter boxer than them all. A prime Tyson although small would probably find the single punch he needs. Ali could stay with him in terms of 12 round scoring, Ali is a more savage puncher than him too. Lennox would straight just **** on Usyk though, just too big and a perfect jab and straight. Take Clubber Lang out of that lol CW - Haye would be a great fight but i’d go with Usyk simply because Haye probably wouldn’t have the complete skill to land his right hand Johnny Nelson is a joke. Holyfield is a cheating pos ped abuser so **** him out the equation.
