I don't think he's being overrated, but I can see why some might think it seems that way. Now that he's beaten a huge name in Canelo, more people are talking about him and praising his skills, so it's more like he's just getting the recognition he deserves. I'm sure there's the oddball here and there who thinks he could beat anybody, but in general it seems like people are fairly rating him as a very skilled boxer.

when ppl are calling you a top 5 p4p fighter for beating a smaller man when you don’t even have the best resume or the most titles in yo own division that is overrated.. Bivol a high quality fighter but most of his current hype simply comes because ppl hate on Canelo for some reason

Yeah, no ****. BUT THAT STILL DOESN'T REFLEXIVELY MEAN BIVOL'S RESUME IS OVERRATED. Again, janky logic.

Or, maybe because people some of the rate P4P top 3 Canelo, and thought the win was impressive. Granted, they're also probably casuals.

He has not unified and he is an alphabet champ. Beterbiev had to chop down the man to become recognized at 175. I hold Bivol to the same standard. Fight the man or fck off.

The weight difference between Bivol and Clenelo is less than it is between Bivol and many of the LHWs he's fighting. Clenelo is a fully-fledged SMW, Bivol a small LHW. The weight difference between Zurdo and Bivol is way way more than it is between Bivol and Clenelo

Bivol barely loses rounds. Most of his fights are schoolings and if he does drop rounds here and there it's usually only a few.

Yeah... that's great, it still doesn't mean he's overrated you ****ing spastic. He's clearly the second best in what was a pretty solid division, before they both cleaned it the **** out. Just because Usyk is better than Briedis in terms of resume and skills, that doesn't mean Briedis is overrated.

So yea. Nobody rated Briedis so he was underrated. Most people rate Bivol and have him as the man at 175. So by definition overrated. Beterbiev beat Gvozdyk.

Again, intentionally missing my point. I never said Briedis was overrated or underrated, merely using him as an example. Sometimes there's not one but two, three, maybe even four people from a division that deserve to be rated. Sure, maybe you can split hairs as to which one is better. But they're still worthy of being rated, and by people merely rating them, that doesn't make them overrated.

The only reason you've made this thread, is because you have a raging hard on for Beterbiev, and for some inexplicable reason, and when you like a fighter, anyone in their vicinity that you deem a threat, become the focus of your ire and disdain, and you set out to delegitimize and slander them. Get over it weirdo.
