The difference is, Haney doesn't have a height or a reach advantage vs Spence or Crawford. Haney isn't an explosive puncher who can carry his punching power up like Jermell.

Canelo is 5'8". Jermell is 5'11". Canelo has a 70½ inch reach. Jermell has a 73 inch reach. Jermell is much taller and much rangier. He'll tower over Canelo in the ring, and he'll be able to out jab Canelo with his quick feet and lateral movement, and he can also load up and time Canelo. Jermell is a very skilled well rounded fighter who will present a very difficult challenge for Canelo.

So the difference in weight classes makes no difference then? So lets just wipe out all the weight classes then and put Fury in with Inoue, and Wilder in with Canelo and see who the best is? And if Jermell doesn't carry his punching power up like you think he will and gets knocked out inside the distance, what are you going to say after that shadow?

I’m thinking Usyk vs the Inoue/Fulton winner. Undefeated, undisputed clash. Both from different parts of the world. Fight will be massive worldwide. Possibly 6.5 mil ppvs.

    :risas3: Give me a break.
If that happens I'll be very impressed. Charlo has never been close to being stopped. If Canelo is able to stop Jermell that'd be a massive accomplishment. I'm not convinced he'll be able to do that. He might be able to knock Charlo down but to stop him, I have my doubts. Jermell Charlo is not only difficult to hit, but even if you catch him clean, he has a hell of a chin and won't go down easily.

And so was Callum Smith and we saw what happened there when Canelo started landing those rockets on his arm. Like I said you can have this fight because I don't want it.

Throw em all in the ring ring shadow, you're pretty much saying weight classes mean nothing and that dream fights like Fury vs Inoue are realistic.

Stop what? You know full well Jermell Charlo is a MUCH bigger fight than Benavidez. Undisputed vs Undisputed is historic. I've been impressed with Jermell Charlo for many years, and rated him a lot better than his brother. You know that. Remember last year when he beat Castaño, I was as impressed with that performance as anyone in recent years. Not only the KO, but the skill, Mell's use of the jab, etc. Against Harrison Jermell was one-dimensional too focused on the KO, which he why he lost the first time. And even in the rematch he gave away rounds trying to time him. But against Castaño in the rematch, he reinvented himself, he showed how he's not just a KO artist anymore but a brilliant well rounded technical fighter able to work behind the jab. What makes Jermell so tough is he has many facets to his game, he uses upper body movement, he has power, he has great footwork. When was the last time Canelo has gone up against a fighter with the complete skillset of Jermell Charlo? I can't think of anyone he's fought with the upper body movement of Jermell, ability to evade shots, fast feed, good footwork plus explosive punching. You know full well how good Jermell is, stop selling him short. He's a great fighter, and this is the biggest fight that can possibly be made.

Yeah but the difference is Jermell has a much better skill set than Callum Smith. He has better footwork, is a more explosive puncher, can make you miss with upper body movement, etc.

No way. Canelo-Benavidez is the fight we all want and the bigger fight. That's like saying Canelo- Spence is a bigger fight than Spence-Crawford one is a fight everyone wants and brings closure to a division the other a side show money grab.
