No it's not, that's completely different lol. We've been wanting to see Spence-Crawford for a lot longer than Canelo Benavidez, and the weight difference between Spence / Crawford and Canelo is much greater than Jermell and Canelo.

I'm not interested in Spence vs Canelo. Canelo would get no credit. Jermell makes much more sense. He matches up well physically against Canelo.

 

I’ll be in the minority, but I’m looking forward to this fight, I think it’ll be fun.

 

Canelo isn't going to get much credit for beating Jermell Charlo either, I promise you that.

 

Jermell Charlo isn't some walkover. After what he did to Harrison and Castaño, he's proven himself against quality opposition. To not just outbox you but to show major punching power. Jermell will be highly motivated to beat Canelo. This is the fight he's been waiting for his whole life. This will be a great fight.

 

He'll get a hell of a lot more credit than if he beat Spence lol.

I'm a Canelo fan and a Jermell Charlo fan. I think the difference is you're only a fan of Canelo. You don't rate Jermell like I do. I know how good he is. You don't apparently. But you'll find out soon enough.

Come on man, you just happy that Canelo done ducked his way out of a Benevidez fight. Again!! It's just like Pimp called it. A selfish money grab by PBC, Canelo and Charlo. ( who seems to me now is running from Tszyu ). Everybody know, the fights that should be taking place are Canelo and Benevidez and Charlo and Tszyu.

 

By signing a 3 fight deal with PBC, it makes the Benavidez fight easy to make. He could end up fighting Benavidez after Jermell. The Benavidez fight is a lot closer to happening now that he's signed the 3 fight deal with PBC. I would remind you that the Charlos are 33 years old and Benavidez is only 26. The time to fight one of the Charlos is now while there's no rush to make the Benavidez fight because he's much younger. Benavidez is only coming into his prime, so if Canelo waits to fight him Benavidez is only going to get better.

This makes sense to happen now while both are Undisputed. I'm not against the Benavidez fight at all, but fans have wanted to see Canelo fight one of the Charlos for a very long time. Many fans consider Jermell to be the better Charlo so this is very exciting to make this fight now while both are Undisputed. The fight really sells itself. While you say Canelo is ducking Benavidez, the same could be said about Benavidez ducking Morrell. Benavidez should fight Morrell, unify the WBA / WBC interim that will put pressure on the winner to fight the winner of Canelo Jermell next.
