One thing you can't knock Joshua for is his run of fighting mandatories and unifications. If others did the same thing then boxing would be in a much better place.

Ironically the wheels fell off when he tried cherry-picking to 'crack America' - which of course was orchestrated by Eddie. Although to be fair when he got the belts back he went straight to fighting his mandos despite Hearn wanting easier fights for him.

Slate Povetkin and Pulev all you want, but they were both on long winning-streaks to get their mandatory positions - can't really blame Joshua for how shallow the division is.

Absolutely shocking isn’t it. Boxing just seems to attract these con artists. Didn’t he claim the same thing had happened twice over a 5 year period as well?

I agree with this, I’m not a Joshua fan, but he does seem to get a lot of stick. When someone is rammed down your throat by their teams / propaganda machine as a squeaky clean persona and elite boxer when he clearly is neither I can understand why people give him a hard time.

I can see why he's always rubbed up a lot of hardcore fans the hard way. To become world champion against Charles Martin was an absolute gift, he had millions in the bank and all the sponsorships before he had earned it in the ring, he clearly had media coaching to be someone he's not in public. He had insane backing from the Sky machine that other deserving boxers could only dream of. He started boxing late so was relying more on physical strengths, he doesn't have the skills, slickness or footwork the purists like to see etc.

He also gets blowback from Hearn being an absolute tool (like in the original Wilder negotiations). And even more unfairly on the days when Fury wakes up on the side of the bed where he fancies a fight against AJ (which Joshua is obviously well up for).

But what's pretty irrefutable is that the guy is clearly willing to fight anyone as a challenger or a champion - it's been proven beyond any reasonable doubt. For all his flaws he should be given that at least.

The same AJ that wouldn't dare step inside the ring with Wilder.

Fury was out of the ring for 3 years and he was overweight, yet still had the balls to go to LA and fight Wilder.

Because that's the state of the division. Hearn messed up his first chance at Wilder, Fury was a basket case for years and then Fury and Wilder only had eyes for each other for the best part of 3 years.

Yep this is Joshua’s legacy: smoke and mirrors career based on ATG packaging over domestic level content.

Marquee win against a shot to pieces old name coming out of retirement for a bumper payday who never fought again. Cv full of shot to pieces old name midgets and alphabet soup bums.

Flat track bully who has mysteriously failed to fight even one of wilder fury Joyce Ortiz Zhang Hrgovic Dubois Wallin but has no problems whatsoever teeing off on shot old midgets like takam povetkin pulev Molina.

Couldn’t put a dent in the feather fisted cruiser who struggled with shot old delboy chisora. Went 1-1 with the obese Mexican who already lost to Joey twelve Parker.

DUCKED every single puncher of his era. Glad jawed glass hearted fraud who sells alot of lynx and lucozade.

An ATG businessman if that floats your boat, not a fighting man.

C'mon you're really following these Saudi negotiations for Joshua vs Wilder and think for one second that AJ doesn't dare to step in the ring with him.

The only thing that might stop it is Hearn's greed. Even for him he's trying so hard to squeeze every last drop out of Joshua.

It's clear if Joshua had beat Joyce, Ortiz, Zhang, Hrgovic, Dubois or Wallin that they would be nicely slipped into the old or 'alphabet soup bum' lists.

I mean when on earth could he have fought Zhang and got any credit..

100% with some of those. Zhang especially, when he was suggested as an opponent for Joshua the British Forum said he was fighting another old fighter - a "48 year old Chinese fella". Then when Joyce fights Zhang, apparently it's a great opponent.

Dubois wouldn't be a good win to be honest, and neither would Wallin.

Ortiz is about 43 and got dropped by Charles Martin. Hrgovic is a top fighter and likely would beat Joyce. If Fury doesn't fight Usyk, I wouldn't mind seeing Usyk against Hrgovic.

It’s really weird how some people hate AJ so much. Like to have so much hatred for a person you’ve never met is quite strange.

Eddie Hearn said that Fury Ngnanou will be an exhibition. He also said that it’s likely Usyk Hrgovic will be chief support to Joshua Wilder as long as Usyk beats Dubois.

It’s pretty simple. Fury should be stripped and Joshua Wilder should be for the vacant WBC World Title.
