    This could be ing crazy.
I see GGG the better fighter but McClellan has a great chance.
Thoughts on this 12 rounds at Middleweight?

Golovkin wins by decision he outlasts the early onslaught of McClellan with his solid chin.

Golovkin would love the way McClellan swings his wild chopping strokes loading up with all his power. Since GGG actually has great boxing fundamentals including great footwork and a great jab, I predict that he picks McClellan apart like he picked Lemieux apart. Afterwards people comment on how McClellan was a bum and when is Golovkin going to ever step up his competition.

GGG s chin is pretty good, I can see him taking some mad shots from McClellan.

I am sure others with more knowledge can correct me but GGG seemed to have better fundamentals than the G-man? Gerald made me think of young Foreman, awesomely destructive and an excellent finisher but otherwise vulnerable when things didn't go his way. Not sure how much we should read into McClellan early points losses to Milton and Ward but I feel when things got rough GGG would be able to adapt better than Gerald. Of course he has to avoid the early onslaught which maybe tricky!

From what I have read from posters on here I am not sure we ever saw the full potential of McClellan. He seemed to have been poorly managed, untested and then seriously damaged so early in his championship career. We really only have the Jackson fights as examples of his skill against a quality opponent, and they are significant, and his amazing courage in Benn fight. With GGG we have a much fuller picture of his abilities.

While I don't feel his opposition was that much better than McClellan he showed himself to be a disciplined long time champion who could box and punch. You can argue he deserved the nod over Alvarez in at least one of their fights and Alvarez is probably better than anyone G-man fought.

I can only make this judgement based on evidence rather than unfulfilled potential as the G-man's story is one of the great "what ifs" in boxing.
