Anderson got tested like I predicted, he got too happy with his power tho, and when the KO didn't come he had to make adjustments. I feel he did that tonite, it was good for him to face some adversity at this point of his career. Now it's Back to the drawing board to get better.

Chris Byrd showed you don't need power at heavyweight and can still have success, even Usyk has show in a way being fast and not having a big punch can take you to the top as long as you have genuine skills.

That's where Anderson is lacking. As you say his defence is too open, he doesn't block punches using his shoulders like a Mayweather or a Toney he instead tries to do a bad impression of Ali. Ali got away with it because his reflexes were outrageous and he also had tremendous foot work and movement. Anderson in contrast just plants himself too much and doesn't move very well on the back foot.

I find the hype around Anderson absolutely baffling.

they needed to stop trying to sell Anderson as a puncher anyway I’ve seen all his fights and it’s plain to see he pushes his punches, his beat route is to actually start to box more he’s got fast hands when he’s not forcing the punches and he’s got a great pull counter and good foot work, he needs to work on his defence and start looking to box.

Only seen Torrez get absolutely killed in amateurs
No way he is better than Big baby

Big Baby looks smallish with limited power. Better movement than Dubois but probably same difficulty to hit.

Dubois vs Anderson is a great scrap actually.

I think Huni would have a good chance against either because he is so slippery and has a good work rate.

Jalalov looks to big and strong for any of them.

I would also like to see Frank Sanchez vs Anderson

My money would be firmly on Sanchez he just seems way better with his defence and crisper with his counters. Would be interesting as they appear similar in size. Sanchez can punch a bit but not a killer finisher.

American fans looking for a US fighter at heavyweight to support now that Wilder is a bust and Anderson has a flashy style and up until the Martin fight was KOing everyone. Too many fans get caught up with putting their hopes on a fighter making them out to be something they are not.

We've seen it happen all too often at heavyweight as of late. Hrgovic disappointed many with his performance against Zhang though with hindsight that doesn't look so bad now. Makhmudov looked one dimensional vs Takam, Yoka getting exposed vs Bakole, Joyce coming undone vs Zhang and now Anderson struggling with Martin.

You'd think fight fans would have learned by now that until a fighter steps up and beats someone proven it doesn't matter how good they look blowing away journeymen. But it seems fight fans have short memories.

I seriously doubt America will have a dominant HW champ for a long time as there simply is no incentive for any elite athlete to get into boxing when they could be in the NBA, NFL or MLB. Jared, along with most American HWs right now, are 2nd tier athletes.

that Nigerian had a good rating on boxrec going in.
The only real positive thing I can say is Arslanbeks uppercuts looked really good that's not generally an easy punch to land.

I mean he looked stupid and mauling and he honestly looked like a drunk having a bar fight. it didnt really matter his opponent didn't do jack ****. if it wasnt for the athetlism, holding on and dipping the fight would have ended even sooner.

There are bruts that have good spacing, good timing etc etc.
this is not Mak, he isn't very good. He has all the advantages in the world on his side. I think it will be very hard for him to get a big fight.

He is the kind of person that could get a lucky win over a top name. and beating mak wouldnt get them much credit.
too high or risk for too little reward and likely 0 money
