Anthony Joshua just posted on IG his next fight date

Joshua v Whyte is a very poor non title fight and should be part of the DAZN UK subscription.

When this is confirmed on DAZN UK Box Office, I will never subscribe to this shower again.

 

Surely they won’t put this on PPV in the UK on top of the subscription. That would be bonkers. The Whyte fight hasn’t been confirmed either officially and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Kabayel

 

The public have been programmed to pay extra for shyte fights and the millionaire grubs cannot get enough loot.

 

I don’t think Joshua Whyte will happen, and the blame lies with Whyte. He exclusively leaked to Sky Sports that he “signed the contract” but in fact this wasn’t the entire contract, most notably the PPV rights.

I expect them to run out of time since August 12 is fast approaching and Agit Kabayel to be announced. Not a great fight but since it looks like Joshua will fight Wilder in December / January, I’m not mad at all and look forward to seeing Joshua regain more confidence under Derrick James.

 

Yup and as well the news of him signing the contract came out on Sky as well. Nothing on DAZN about it so I think it’s Kabayel

The fact that you’ve stated that you aren’t mad probably means you are.

 

So he signed half a contract? Is this common place to send out half a contract? Seems very odd

I’m sure I saw an interview with Hearn where he said or suggested that if the opponent was Whyte it would be PPV but if it was one of the other two options it wouldn’t.

 

I meant the contract he returned didn't include the full clauses of the negotiation if that makes sense.

Joshua Franklin wasn't, so I presume Joshua Kabayel won't. The undercard will be a lot better this time, but I still don't see it being PPV. Remember that Fury Schwarz and Fury Wallin were PPV at 4am in the morning for example. Extremely happy that DAZN haven't been putting Joshua on PPV against these type of opponents.

It might increase Joshua's confidence. He himself said that Wilder knocking Brezeale out in 1 round while he took him 7/8 rounds decreased his confidence massively going into the first Ruiz right. Seeing Martin take the top American prospect the distance and hurting him midway through all whilst taking the fight on short notice and preparing for a completely different type of opponent might help Joshua regain some more confidence.

 

No that doesn't make sense please explain. Are you saying he has never received a full contract?

It wouldn’t surprise me if they stuck it on PPV with a slightly better undercard and blamed it on that.
