As far as punching power goes? I'm watching the Foster/Quarry fight and that left hook was vicious. Foster seemed like a LHW Wilder when it came to power.

    Not. It's Beterbiev.
Only Beterbiev is more successful than Wilder.

No, he was better than Wilder, Foster knew how to fight behind his jab, set up his opponents, didn't
Telegraph his power shots, though his left
hook was devastating, he could ko ranked
    opponents with his right hand.
They look similar by their build, but skill level was not close.
And no Wilder isn't the heavyweight Bob Foster,,,,
    And definitely NOT Thomas Hearns.......
Possibly a better comparison is Milt McCory,,,,, without his skill level.......

I don't mean boxing skills. I KNOW Foster is his superior when it comes to skills. I meant raw power

For raw power, absolutely Foster was as dangerous at LHW as Wilder was/is at HW.

You would think that Foster’s right hand would be his most dangerous weapon….but it is was that hook

Obviously they resemble each other from a physical standpoint, but Wilder is more of a counterpuncher. He doesn't box behind a heavy jab ala Lewis and the Klitschkos.

Diego Corrales has a higher skill level than Deontay Wilder

Both huge punchers. Wilder more reliant on the right hand, whereas Foster had a better left hook, relative to their respective sizes.

As far as power yes, but Foster was a more rounded fighter than Wilder will ever be. Wilder is sloppy, throws all long punches and hasn't a clue about fighting inside.

Wilder has routinely knocked out guys who were tens of pounds bigger than him.

Foster totally failed in that department.

    They aren't the same.

"Totally failed"? Perhaps if you emphasise the use of the word "routinely". Either way, Foster has 10 x stoppage victories over fighters who outweighed him by a double digit number of pounds.

Yes in terms of absolute power, he's a Lightheavy version.
