It's common knowledge that Joyce absolutely obliterated Ngannou in sparring a while back. This is one big joke exhibition to line Fury's pockets whilst he holds the WBC belt hostage. One mandatory defence (against Whyte) since he's been champion.

Fury is joker, but we can only blame the WBC for the mandatory situation. If there was sense, the minute Wilder & Ruiz decided they wasn’t going to do the final Eliminator months ago, they should have jumped straight to Frank Sanchez and ordered him to defend against him or at least do a box off for Tyson’s next opponent

The two scenarios you put forward are nothing alike

The IBF seem to be the only org that actually makes an effort with their mandatories. They let the best two fight for it. If one or both turn it down they go for the next highest ranked. It’s not rocket science but they do the job.

Makes sense Ngannou hasn't had a single pro boxing fight given the pasting he took sparring Joyce. Ngannou should be looking at a Dave Allen, Gorman, Kash Ali opponent, not Fury. They all likely knock him out btw and his Fury payday with it.

He’s probably a worse boxer than The Mountain.

IM POSITIVE Fury could beat them all. But he wont. And if Joyce beats Zhang he wont call Fury out. His interviewer would mention a Fury fight and Joe would agree. Thats how he rolls and a reason that fight would be poor. The build up would be a love in and Joe wouldn't have a chance against a far better southpaw and fighter than a boxer who already beat him one out of two.
And if this rumoured Fury fright comes off he wont fight Joe for another 18 months.
