Not to save Tony's eye, too late for that, but to save Quitto Quitting AGAIN!!!!! Quitto couldnt legitimately beat a one eyed Margarito The doc had to do it
Also if you remember Robert Garcia complained about Pac's wraps & asked for them to be removed but Freddie refused & was let to get away with it. Was that the reason Pac has such sudden increase in punching power? Did Pac's stacked wraps cause Tony's permanently damaged eye??? Easy answer.... Resto & Lewis were caught dead to rights because they had removed padding from Resto's Gloves & that's what caused the horrific damage to Billy Collins. Both were rightly banned for life
The CSAC had no evidence Margarito had done anything wrong only the word of Nazim Richardson, which turned out to be untrue & was never again mentioned. If Tony had been proven to have tried to cheat then he would have been rightly indicted.. Suspicion isn't proof my friend errr except to the Ca state commission apparantly
