Foxtel give the rematch an airing every now & then. It's an Australian boxing classic. A Queenslander versus a Victorian with a fight-altering cameo from the NSW ref.

Just watched it again. Superb.

 

Great fight but terrible stoppage.
Walker was a damn big puncher & so was leapai

 

Horrendous stoppage. I became good mates with Travis. Was in his corner against Meehan and in the opposite corner with Browne. He eventually said one time that he understood the stoppage cos he took his eyes off his opponent and gave the ref a choice to make. Also mentioned that Browne was the hardest hitter he ever faced and surprisingly quicker that he thought. He's a good guy, never in a dull one.

Credit to Tasman for thinking outside of the square and pushing back against No Limits' monopoly.

 

Good to see other avenues for promoters locked out of Foxtel exclusivity agreement. Australia has too much talent at the moment.

No Limit have dropped the ball for the rest of the country. Too focused on Tim Tszyu all the other fighters are going hungry. They need more domestic shows.

 

I think the 3yr, 50 fight deal, which equates to around 16 shows a year, was always going to unrealistic
We are now 7 months in and No Limit have only done the 4 shows to date.
