Yes he clearly can’t make the weight anymore and it’s stalled his career, move up get active get a title.

Stanionis really has a very legitimate potentially financially compensable complaint against Vergil at this point. He has stalled his career to a complete dead stop. And this isn't the first time this has happened, this is repeating with Vergil. It's been multiple times so it's a really big issue.

Vergil needs to move to 154 at the very minimum, possibly 160. Does anyone know his walk around weight? He looks huge.

Ortiz said 165. He can't make 147, but he's too small for 160.

I think 154 might be the best place for him, but there's a chance this will be an ongoing health issue for him.

I'm in the 170s, he looks every bit my size there. I think this may be a permanent issue as well. I personally think that frame can definitely carry 160. To me he looks like he would walk around at 175-80ish

I figured this Rhabdo was going to be a further issue when in the interview addressing the first time he “overcame” it, he basically says “We’re not doing anything different, we don’t know what caused it, it was a freak occurrence”.

Sounded riduclous. Not even a mention of a dietitian/nutritionist being brought in to be on the safe side.

Same here. I’m 5’11 and 170 and he looks slightly heavier than me. I think he should go to 160 if he wants to avoid anymore setbacks.

The downside to being a weight bully. One day you wake up and realize you have to fight guys your own size.

Weird because he doesn't even look bad at weigh ins and a 147 pounder walking around at 164-165 is common. Crawford walks around heavier than that and Spence walks around at about 175lbs.

Compare how Haney looks at weigh ins, in the ring, his fight night weight and then how he looks at walk around weight and he must easily weigh 170.

Word on the street, and a journalist recently divulged that they'd been told by numerous reputable insiders that there have been shenanigans regarding him making weight, as in he's not actually made the weight but they've covered it up, or at least it's happened a few times. It doesn't surprise me if it's true because he looks like a different species at weigh ins and Ortiz, Spence and Crawford all look way way better.

That would be sad if that's true. I always felt like Vergil was a honorable guy and he's def a throwback fighter. What's happening to this guys career is sad, we may never get that superfight against Ennis.
