Come from behind KOs happens a lot in boxing but I'm curious if there's been fights that was so one sided that it looked like the fight could be stopped at any given moment until one punch changed the entire fight. What are some one sided fights where it looked like it was a complete mismatch and a thorough beating but the fight ends in a surprising stoppage from the fighter that was losing the fight badly?

John David Jackson vs Jorge Castro.
Castro had been outclassed and beaten to a bloody pulp, the ref steps in…and Castro pulls the punch out of nowhere to floor Jackson.

Derrick Jefferson was beating David Izon so bad that Larry Merchant was calling for a stoppage.

Then Jefferson ran out of gas and got stopped.

Francesco Damiani was dominating Ray Mercer and then Mercer threw an uppercut that caught him on the right spot on the nose, shattering it, and won the fight for Ray.

The John Tate - Mike Weaver fight immediately springs to mind. Big John had been dominating the fight, winning virtually every round. I'm not sure if it was Larry Holmes who commented "I'm disappointed. Mike Weaver is only trying to survive." Going into the final minute of the final round, Big John was tiring visibly when Mike Weaver landed a blockbuster on the button and Tate went down motionless and was counted out. Everyone was shocked, and John Tate was never as much as in contention again.

Mike Weaver vs " Big " John Tate. Was my very 1st thought on this subject. A fight that was
So one-sided for 14 rds , it was boring, I don't believe Weaver won a round.
    Than came the 15th rd.........
Weaver lands a left hook that didn't look that hard.... Tate crashes to the floor like he was struck by a bolt of lightning.....
A shocking course change in a heavyweight championship fight.
After the fight Weaver became a better fighter.
Tate, just fell off the face of the sport.....

Romeo Anaya was battering the head off of Arnold Taylor for 13 rounds, having him on the canvas 4 times. Then in the 14th a hail Mary comes in from Taylor. Have no idea what the cards looked like after 13, but no one saw that coming, including Anaya.
