From especially the infamous black bottle from the corner of Aaron Pryor in his Nov 12 1982 title bout against challenger Alexis Arguello.

Which Rocky was it when Paulie said I'm glad you're going into the ring and not me?

I believe it was Rocky IV against Drago.

You're talking about "chin", I'm talking about stamina/durability.

Ok, if you don't like the word "chin", let's concentrate on your own word "durability". Do you think, Briggs showed a lack of durability against Vitali?

No, nor did he show stamina. He walked around like Solomon Grundy and gave no resistance. He's a horrendous example.

So your "No" - does that mean that Briggs, in your opinion, did show some durability in that fight?

Fundamentals but I think that's bcuz of the repetition of fighting they were much more active bcuz the pay was no where near as good as now respective of wages/expenses of their times.

Not condoning it but it was easier to get away w doing, shady things so to speak. Everything gets posted online nowadays the mystique fighters had of their personal lives is gone.

All I can think of now which tbh has probably been covered. Was too lazy to skim thru here forgive me haha.

Do you consider durability as being a punching bag for 12 rounds, not attempting to win, and not giving any resistance? I don't. I consider durability, being hurt but weathering the storm and winning or making it close/competitive. Briggs almost died.

Much more frequent fights, sparring opportunities, better coaches and less money.

Amateurs doing so well in boxing is a sign of the times and a decline of professional ability.

Or it's a sign that having 400 fights makes you good at fighting.
