We don’t know really, but most will tell you Tyson for a certainty- how do you like Tyson’s clinch and inside work of which Mcvea would have in spades compared to Mike?
From what I've read of McVea,he would have put up a pretty good fight against Tyson but only for a few rounds.
Informative post, not about boxing, about you and most others who post. Know nothing about boxing, you read what some no nothing wrote and make your opinions from that. Suspected it. Thanks .
Stevie's opinion on McVea is based on what's he's read. What is your opinion on McVey based on, John?
Tyson would very reasonably be the favorite here, but it could still be a good fight. Two of the most precocious heavyweight talents in history, and an interesting match of styles.
I don't like comparing fighters from this big of generation gap it simply isn't fair, the style of fighting back then it just too outdated. and fighters from that era would be found wanting against the more modern ATG Heavyweight's of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. Looking at the stats of Sam McVea he's actually built similar to Tyson he's 5'10 and weighed around 210-220 pounds i believe ? if he was alive in the more modern era with a more modern boxing skillset he would probably be able to compete well. But overall McVea wouldn't last vs Tyson with his style it's too out dated, and that's no disrespect to McVea but that's just how it is. All you have to do is look at footage of some of the Heavyweights of that era, and there's no way they're beating any modern ATG Heavyweight. But as i said if they had modern training then who knows the skys the limit.
