Haha. Benn uses the same rules as 'Can't tig your butcher', and 'Base' Technically Conor was in Base when the drugs test was done therefor it doesn't count
You'd think like they have said the genetics and samples prove without any doubt he didn't take them, and was purely food contamination he'd just run that defence. I'd like to know if this was Steve Goodwin and Eddie how long Steve would been banned for
But someone on here told me that Benn and Eubank was definitely going to happen!!! That damn wannabe insider
Not to worry mate there’s still Prograis v Catterall which will definitely happen and isn’t Prograis’ 8th choice fight.
Whats the news about this? I've not been following it for a couple of weeks. Is UKAD giving their judgment any time soon? All I remember is Hearn being confident Benn gets to fight soon, so looks like he'll be cleared?
Hearn was saying yesterday that (a) he wasn't involved so wasn't close to it, but then (b) he was sure it'd either be UKAD extending the investigation or Benn cleared, no other option, and (c) he was sure it'd be Benn cleared. I think we can take it he knows exactly what's going on and Benn has wormed out of it on a technicality.
Eddie Hearn, as usual, is talking bollocks. This thing is damaging Hearn's reputation, has already damaged his bank balance and he is invested in it up to his ears.
I can't stand the way Warren is sticking up for Fury at the moment. But Fury is the best (with the possibility of Usyk) heavyweight in the world. Why is Hearn sticking his neck on the line for a Benn? He's average at best
Because AJ is one defeat away from retirement and Canelo has fooked off. All the worlds best fighters are with Top Rank and PBC.
Because he has a social media following that like the gangsta image and can part with some of their weekend coke money to buy tickets or PPV. The Hearns may be salesmen at heart but you need an audience to sell to. They clearly think they've got one with Benn even if most of us boxing diehards aren't part of it.
How many people are ready to pay to see Conor Benn in a regular comeback fight against a soft opponent ?
If it's (say) 100,000 which isn't impossible, then Benn would come out with a good chunk of that. Throw in Eubank at ringside for a bit of spark and the numbers could get even higher.
It is though and Kalle is just playing games. If the Benn fight wasn't on the table Smith v Eubank 2 would be confirmed. There is a reason that fight still hasn't got over the line.
It feels like Hearn sunk so much into Benn and was expecting a return on Benn vs Eubank, that he is hell-bent on getting that cash back regardless
