Yet another British stoppage, although Postol was in survival mode and it was just a matter of time. Time to retire for the Ukranian.

I don’t think it was early, Postol is 39 and was getting battered. There was no chance of turning the fight around

A bit early but he was just put down at the end of the previous round, he looked on the verge of toppling again and the way he stumbled around the ring looked bad. It's perfectly reasonable for the ref to see that as the time to stop it.

That would be a crazy fight, Rodriguez has the edge in power imo but I think Matias tenacity and combination punching would get to him ultimately with Matias winning a late stoppage

A bit early but nowhere near the worst. Postol wasn't gonna win.

A good Postol is winning these fights. If he is financially secure why continue?

Would you believe that yesterday this girl was in my arms and swore to me, she'd be mine eternally and Marie's the name of his latest flame.

Love Martin’s story. Nothing crazy, just a dude who knew he had the goods.

I really do hope Postol can call it quits properly now. He's been a great servant to the sport, in my opinion he got shafted against Jose Ramirez that would've made him a unified champ and of course got the great KO over Matthysse to etch his name in the history books. Mad respect to the Ukrainian warrior, he's fought a killer's row and competed well with pretty much everyone.
